Me too. The story was also around that Hillary and Chelsea saw some horrible images on CNN, and threw a pity party on Bubba and pressured him to intervene. Girrrl power.

Strobe is probably working more for the globalist Soros types than anyone else. But the Russkies probably have him on the hook with some old SOP boy honeytrap type blackmail. I think he did honeymoon in Moscow with Bubba, that summer of love after the Prague Spring. Crazy Oxford days, “Hey, why don’t we visit Moscow? Sure, great idea, why not?” A couple of Rhodes scholars intourists in 68, can you imagine the scenarios the KGB tossed at those boys?

It would have been a great way to meet some pretty Russian girls....in an apartment wired for video. Then the girls turn out to be underage, but maybe we can work something out? You know the script.

Point is, it begs belief that Talbott and Clinton visiting Moscow in 68 were not the subject of an intensive KGB blackmail/recruitment effort.

The only question would be if those two resisted, or just said, “Hell guys, all you had to do was ask, no need to run the teenyboppers on us. We’re already on your side, just tell us what you want us to do.”

Harold Ickes, Jr., son of FDR's Communist Secretary of the Interior, is a Hillary campaign "adviser" I believe.

Birds of a feather.

Hillary is ready to lead on day one. Where she will lead is what we don’t know.

Straight into the pit of Hell from whence she came.

Yet so many here are willing to let her be prident because they want to teach the party a lesson. How about standing up against communism??? How about standing up for the WOT and NEVER letting Hillary near the WH????

SERIOUSLY!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT THE TIME IN HISTORY TO TEACH THE PARTY A LESSON. DON’T GIVE THE MEN AND WOMEN ON THE FRONT LINES THE BIG FINGER BY HANDING THE WH TO HILLARY OR OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I have one child, and he is now an adult in the U.S. Army. He just spent his 25th birthday in a freezing hooch in Afghanistan. He spent his 23rd in a tent in Iraq, which was probably like old times, because he had turned 21 in Iraq. Make no mistake about my concern for American troops; it is real, it is overwhelming, it is enduring and it is very, very personal.)

I will not be led to believe that John McCain cares about American troops much more than Hillary Rodham Clinton or Barak Obama, other than that he will publicly exhibit less disdain for them. Were John McCain to inadvertently lose the veneer of his "support for the troops," then his media-conferred eternal war hero status would avail him very little, and the self-deluded within the GOP would turn their backs on this man who has consoistently made our active-duty troops' mission(s) increasingly difficult (while burnishing his own "maverick credentials"). Unlike the 'rat candidates who also hamstring the mission, McCain knows how to wave the bloody BDU in front of select audiences. What McCain did in regard to POW-MIA issues along with his good friend John Kerry is a damning testament to how much he "cares." If John McCain perceives personal benefit from punting the WOT, he'd punt the WOT faster than you can say "Keating," and sacrifices past/future be damned.

As for fighting communism, there is apparently nothing left in either major political party to fight it with other than another form of communism. Sort of a Sunni-Shia lineup. McCain and the remora-like Mike Huckabee (symbiosis in action) both spout milk-sop manifestos of watered-down socialist statism in quantities that would do FDR proud. If a person is going to pick a hill to die on in the war against communism (or the corollary of oligarchy), John McCain is among the very least deserving of the sacrifice.

I will no longer let them - to paraphrase Al Gore - play on my fears. If John McCain and the GOP think they can hold active duty troops as some sort of hostage in exchange for my vote, they don't know me, my wife or my son.

Our politicians are elected to represent our interests, all of them.

If they won’t do so, then we have a burden to vote elsewhere.

The burden rests with R-politicians to support our troops, and we support our politicians. It is not the voter that has failed, but the politicians that have.

let alone now be the odds on favorite for the Democrat nomination.

And this is far from certain. If it had to be her or Hussein Osama in the White House, I'd take him. I'm sure he's a corrupt slug, but we've seen what Billary is capable of.

With our current crop of candidates, I'd rather have somebody who did nothing but lock himself in the office, play solitaire, and have his cabinet keep the fresh coffee coming. It's actually better to have somebody about as productive as Kerry has been as a senator.

Does a bear poop in the woods?

Yes. . .and think this issue of Strobe's 'influences' arose 'way back'. No one cared then; why would anyone care now?

Too many could not care less; and won't until. . .the bear poops on them.

And it won't be long now; until it does just that.

Why would Russian intelligence need to manipulate a willing volunteer....?

Yes indeed. The question has a false premise. It implies Strobe is a dupe, not a willing fellow traveler.

Good point. Newt made the same point about Supreme Court nominees as an example after Coulter went on her rant on Hannity & c.

I personally believe that they were knowing “walk-ins” in 1968. No recruitment necessary.

Actually, having Al Gore has part of the troika handling Russian affairs is not farfetched.

As you wrote, Gore's daddy was an unwitting(?) tool of the Soviets.

In addition, though, Algore's primary role in the troika was "campaign cash collector" -- for the Clinton administration and on his own account for 2000.

There have been reports detailing how Algore's connections to the oligarchs and the Russian mafia resulted in millions of laundered dollars going into political accounts in the U.S.

Hammer took over when Westinghouse died. WX the company was a friend of the Czar and shipped 770,000 Mosin-Nagant rifles to help defend against the revolution from about 1915-17. Once the Czar was out of the picture, the Algores (sr. and jr.) provided Hammer and Stalin a seat on the Senate floor! and from this old link, apparently Hammer’s papa founded the CPUSA! prolly not in your kid’s history book tho....
