I understand.

Generally speaking, one can note the decline or strength of a society/culture by its leadership.

Good piece, and the MSM will be using this very argument against McCain in the general election. Watch how many times you will see shows that begin with the talking heads saying "Some excitement on the Straight Talk Express today..." and cutting to tape of McCain raging like a lunatic.

He is temperamentally unfit for command.

I admire the writer for writing what I have long thought but no one has ever said before in the MSM:

"Personally, I do not count John McCain a war hero but a survivor."

Just another pro-Romney hit piece. I’m no McCain fan but I loathe Romney just as much.

I view Romney as somewhat of an unknown, which places him ahead of McCain. McCain is very well known, leading one to wonder what is wrong with the heads of a large number of “Republican” voters.

Listening to talk-radio, as well as reading comments here at FR, it is obvious there is a very large number of conservatives who are not going to vote for McCain if he is the nominee. Sadly, I think this does not bother him in the least. He operates under the delusion that the lib voters that are supporting his nomination will support him in the general election.

Then again, he is liberal enough that some of them might do just that.

I’m convinced there’s no difference between McCain and Hillary.

I think if there were an objective way to measure such things we would find that for every conservative that bad mouths him and threatens to sit out the election rather than vote for him two liberals decide to support him.

Why else would he seem to go out of his way to insult or PO conservatives. Well, of course there’s always the chance that he’s simply suffering from a mental illness.

Every time I see him I come away with the impression of a small, petty, unstable, unhappy man who has it out for conservatives and is driven by personal demons to be disagreeable.

Maybe it’s just me and when millions of young people, many voting for the first time, see him up against Obama they will be reminded of their grandfather and like him and vote for him. </sarcasm>

The worst scenario I can envision is McCain getting the nod then going berserk before election day. When you think about it he is the personality type that frequently hear described after someone goes off the deep end. I know those are harsh words, but think about it.

IMO the worst scenario I can envision is McCain getting the Presidency then going berserk with his finger on the nuke button!

I’ll tell you how bad McCain is: Ann Coulter endorsed Hillary Clinton over McCain on Hannity and Colmes. She says that Hillary is more conservative and made her points well.

How many times have we seen McLame compared to Capt. Queeg of the Caine here on FR?

The term “McQueeg” shows up 3400 times in a Google site search of FreeRepublic.com

Jim should sue this author for plagiarism.

Depends on whom the missiles are targeted to destroy. Seriously, I agree. Point well taken.
