The GOP has been incrementally divorcing itself from Conservatism for many years by appealing to people who are not Conservative as to expand the voter base for the sole purpose of winning elections. The current crop of GOP candidates is a perfect example of this trend. Attracting Socialists to the party to win an election is a losing strategy.

If McCain is the nominee, Democrats will have plenty of ammunition to persuade middle-of-the-road voters that he is not a moderate.

Another fallacy. Moderate/middle of the road is a euphemistic term for Socialist.

You are right. I was listening to Hannity the other day, he was railing a caller because the caller said he would not vote for any of the candidates. All Hannity could talk about was winning and maybe conservatives were the problem because they won’t modernize. Turned it off and I will NEVER listen or watch him again.
