You should have kept listening. It was just a sarcastic one hour gimmick to get folks riled up. It worked.
I was so mad, I turned it off. He was already on thin ice with me for his Rudy infatuation.
I believe the conservative base is tired of getting riled up...Hannity should know better...
There is only so much the “base” can do except go vote...Sure we can talk shop to our friends and family about politics, but thats about it...
You can block walk, mail flyers, work in local campaign offices, become voting precinct chairs, get involved in the local county party activities, do some committee work, and go to conventions on the way up to watching some folks dance on th efloor of the National Convention...
Thats about it...But if the party leaderships continue to foster, field and support candidates that do not represent the base, and at lest make the attempt to follow as closely as possible the party platform...
This what you will get, and it was proven in 2004, 2006...
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
...from the conservative base...
People (conservative base) are getting tired of holding their noses at the polls every year...
Forming a new party is impractical and will make it worse...Taking back the party and tossing the leadership to the street will hack off a lot of people, but that may be the only way to get us back on track and maybe in a few cycles get us back where we need to be...
I would watch with great excitement to see and hear the temperament of the crowds at the precinct, senatorial district and state conventions later this year...
But all of this will take a big push by a lot of people to get traction...And that is very unlikely...
BTW, I am not a rabble rouser by any means...I just want the party that agrees with me more than the other one to understand that they are not representing my best interests...Its really that simple...
