I've already made my remarks about Huckabee on this thread, but it is interesting to consider what effect a brokered GOP convention would have on the election.

It would drive the Democrats crazy for several months, because they wouldn't know which target to aim their attacks at, while we're hurling everything we've got at their chosen candidate. (But more likely, we'd be spending most of our time infighting.)

We would have to identify a good non-profit conservative org to throw some money at for attack ads against the chosen Dem nominee. And you are right . . . it’s a funny thought that we conservatives would have the target identified and the liberals wouldn’t . . .

If they pick anybody but the candidate who came in with the most delegates (possibly as determined by last-minute deals with second-tier candidates like Paul and Guiliani), a large number of voters will feel that their guy was robbed and sit out the election.
