I like many things about Huckabee. He is glib, shrewd, and can think on his feet.
What worries me is his past actions on illegals & release of convicted criminals. He is obviously is too soft hearted to be an executive and protector of tax payers money.
But Huckabee is higher on my list than McCain who is a dirty politician and a lier. Romney has decency and private business experience which no one else has.

Will this be the end of the anti-Huckabee hysteria??
It might put a dent into it, but some here have bought several lies like "A vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain", when exit polls show McCain is the second choice for more Huckabee voters than Romney.

not missing the point.
We don’t want huckabee as VP either.
giving him votes gives him delegates gives him power to demand.
The best bet now is to vot for Romney so McCain does not get the delegates he needs.
Don’t forget we also have kookpaul out there who might get a few delegates and thus some demanding power too.
the goal has to be to shut out the bottom snowball in heck candidates and focus on the top two.
Tactically speaking that is.

Ron Paul, running at about 4% in Republican primaries is "the only one who can beat Obama or Clinton"? Mr. 4% can't beat a dead horse. Why do you publish such a comment in public?

Wake up and smell the fine odor of fertilizer wafting in the afternoon breeze.
What will his position be tomorrow? You don’t know. The guy will hold office for four years, and he could change his mind on every issue twice by then, if his past is any indication.

Actors are so cool.
I’d vote for Tom Cruise as Supreme Ruler of the Universe.

I think no one will quit,no one will win,the big whig republicans will not get their way,Thompson has the good qualities of the other candidates,Fred will be everyones second choice.I like the chances and no matter how someone spins it to put down or build up,it’s headed to Fred’s corner, not saying by convention time there might others in the same corner, but the candidates that are out there now are all losers, and will pretty much lose equally.

I can only offer one good reason to support Huckabee. A vote for Huckabee gives McCain the nomination. So when McCain is elected lets reach across the isle and offer our liberal friends the right hand of fellowship. Our first order of business would be the McCain impeachment. I’m in.
If democrates really believe McCain is a republican they’d all be in too. Tt’s partytime.
To: CottonBall
At least you have to hand it to him on this point, things get a little easier if you use 2000 stats. Good call Mitt.

You summed up my thinking exactly. Are any of them the candidate I would've chosen 6 months ago? Of course not! But I see McCain as a traitor and a Democrat with an R next to his name. I'd vote for anybody before him (yes, maybe even Hillary or Obama). At least they won't destroy the conservative movement with their actions - they'll likely strengthen it. McCain will destroy it from within.

Well, we gotta hold our noses. Might as well get the one that stinks the least.
The Pro Life is the MAIN reason to choose The Huck!
After infanticide every thing else is just incremental evil.

or you might be able to push him to your side too.
I would rather have a real world businessman than a career DC beltway insider like McCain or Giulaini.
We need people who live in the real world of business. Not the same old DC insiders who think “path to citizenship” is not really really amnesty if they just say it over and over and over again.

“pro-America Mike Huckabee “
I can’t label anyone who describes America’s foreign policy as ‘arrogant’ as pro-American.
To: Invincibly Ignorant
Please provide grounds for impeaching him. I don’t know of any, and I don’t think there are many out there that are less inclined to vote for him than I.

I think those were Huckabee’s numbers in a pledge he signed or said he would sign or something or other to obfuscate his actions as governor w/r illegals.
