WASHINGTON, (AP) -- A national Latino group said Thursday it is fighting back against what it considers to be "hate speech" that has emerged from the debate over immigration.
National Council of La Raza President Janet Murguia announced plans to pressure television network executives and candidates seeking their parties' presidential nominations to clamp down on such remarks.
The group launched a Web site to counter the speech, www.wecanstopthehate.org, with clips of what it considers offensive comments on television as well as a tracking of hate crimes.
"Hate groups and extremists have taken over the immigration debate in an unprecedented wave of hate," Murguia said. Although some comments could be considered free speech, "there is a line that sometimes can be crossed when it comes to free speech," she said.

What do you fear might happen? Some of the most anti-illegal folks that I know are legal immigrants who have become naturalized citizens.
We should start www.wecanstoptheillegalaliens.com.
They're exploiting our weakness.
PC is weakness - and that makes us vulnerable to aggressive, acquisitive groups (i.e., "nations") who realize that it can be exploited.
So they simply walk into the country, plant their flag firmly, and anyone who criticizes gets called names. After which our own government goes berserk and does anything to silence those pointing out the obvious: that a foreign invasion is taking place.
Pretty amazing, huh? You can become the dominant political force in another country and end up taking its wealth and power (vote yourself your very own nuclear stockpile) simply by calling people names.
Viva La Raza indeed. Gotta give them credit for seeing the way.
But invasion is not a civil right, no matter how much they may insist that it is.
No more than hating the KKK or Aryan Nazis makes you a hater.
Please share it with everyone you know.
Free speech must be vigorous to remain free. If it’s too tough a concept for someone to accept they should select a different country and just go there as soon as possible.
No one is allowed to speak the truth.
It's part of the strategy to consummate the takeover.
Will Do!
The Mexican government provides aid to those trying to cross illegally and has used their military in some border crossings.
That is an invasion.
There is no screening for disease and there are increases in polio rates among other diseases. That is spreading disease.
Do they “bring” crime to the US? Druglords do. They are taking their turf war to border towns, again with military vehicles and weaponry. There are repeat offenders in sexual assault and DWI cases who seem to freely cross the border to repeat their offenses.
And they’ve made it quite clear with banners that say “go back to Europe” that they are staking a claim on the turf.
I am uneasy because this may be the start of a war inside our borders. I have seen what side our Government will be supporting.
First they SNEAK in and overrun our country. Now they want to tell us what to say. And McCain wants to let them CHEAT their way to citizenship. La Raza has no understanding whatsoever of the Bill of Rights and the rule of law.
States cannot secede. Counties WITHIN states cannot break away either.
They have a couple of videos up at Youtube:

The media needs to ask if La Raza would be so supporting of illegal immigration if the majority of illegals were coming from Africa, the Caribbean and Asia.

The Shadow Government may be supporting a foreign power but the US military must support the USA.
Even if you legally enter Mexico, you’d be prohibited from protesting because you are a foreigner. They truly do not understand “free speech” and believe that they can shout down the opposition in America.
