Slate.com Editor-in-Chief's Diagnosis: Bush Has a Learning Disability
Veteran Washington journalist and Slate.com Editor-in-Chief Jacob Weisberg has a theory about the awkward nature some say President George W. Bush exhibits in his public speeches Bush has a learning disability. Weisberg linked it back to a pattern of dyslexia in the Bush family.
I agree with that, Weisberg said when presented the possibility that Bush has a learning disability.
As I recall, even with a supposed learning disability, he managed to get better grades in college than either Gore or Kerry!
“Suspicions are raised when the poster makes no comment on the article that he/she/it has posted.”
I would say that a newbie might not understand those ‘unwritten’ rules.
I would expect a newbie might not feel comfortable enough spewing his/her own opinion right off the bat.
I Thank JEFF POOR for posting the article, and giving us an opportunity to discuss it.
Since the MODS on FR already ‘edited’ the principle post, I assume they found no reason to ZOT it themselves, or they would have.
I think we should look at who the author of the article in question is, and his background.
Not the original FR poster.
I am trying to say, “Let’s not jump the gun so quick”.
Why not?...
After going to Slate.com and reading the article, it sounds like Weisberg’s purpose is ADVERTISING for his book.
Dunno.
Tasked as a question.
Newb may just be a mewling puking newb.
I had no problem with the post myself. I also invited the poster to join in and put up a little defense.
Thick skin and a sense of humor required for FR!
I compliment you on your post #50.
Uh, Jeff?
Hint, you get jumped on if you don’t reply to defend your position.
>>Just how low will these people go? Absolutely disgusting.<<
Yes. And I assume our troll is gone by now...
But on a serious note - its not just disgusting for the obvious reason, BDS, obvious press bias - but there really are millions of Americans who are learning disabled and what a hell of a message - that if you overcome and accomplish what seemed impossible in spite of your disability, the liberal press will be there to go back and label and attack.
There are valid criticisms of the President and as we look at potential next presidents, its the right time to examine this administration...but this article is just trash.

Normally, the author's name is the part I have in red in the above text, so I figured he was the author of this article.
LOL - I is not learned much either.
<P.Dyslexics are teople poo...
All the liberals I know have a Constitutional learning disability.
In the end, he didn't change his political beliefs, but his opinion of the President had completely changed.
Short version: a great speaker he ain't, but one-on-one or in a small group...
“Normally, the author’s name is the part I have in red in the above text, so I figured he was the author of this article.”
I see how that could mislead anyone.
I guess instead of being a troll, JEFF just did a POOR job posting the thread.
: )
Oh, make no mistake, GWBush will be “on the ballot” as far as the democrats are concerned.
He has to be, it’s the only thing that unites their kook base.
