So I have blue eyes and my wife has brown eyes. Her mother had blue eyes, her father brown.
I tell her that our future children are going to have brown eyes. That's not quite right, is it?
Odds are 50% of your kids will have blue, 50% brown (or hazel).
The odds are half of your kids will have brown eyes, since your wife carries one Brown and one Blue, and you have two blues. The brown will express if present.
You may carry a recessive gene for blue eyes. Your wife presumably does.
If you both have the gene, you have the one in four chance of a blue-eyed kid.
If she carries the gene and you don’t, your kids will all have brown eyes.
But don’t quote me, not exactly my area of expertise.
Sorry, obviously got that mixed up. You presumably carry two copies of the blue gene. Your wife presumably carries one. As others have said, you have 50/50 chance of blue/brown eyed kids.
50-50 chance.
Our family’s the opposite: I have blue eyes (but my parents both have green) and hubby has brown.
Our oldest has brown eyes (strange color, though...almost orange), the youngest has my blue.
50-50 chance, and that’s exactly what we got.
Regards,

Nope....odds are 50-50 for blue eyes vs some brown/green combo
