AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, from behind the golden EIB microphone, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Agreed. Fred being silent, especially when it comes to McCain, is far more telling than if he were to endorse Romney, IMHO. I’d love to see Fred say, ‘I can’t endorse anyone as I don’t have a horse in this race.’

America as we have known it hangs precariously on a precipice, from which our individual liberties may fall into a thousand years of darkness.

I am armed and ready if it comes to that.

many ASSUME McLame will try to reach out to Conservatives.
Sorry, but McLame wants nothing to do with Conservatives, and he’s decided to go along with most of the Republican Party: to amputate the Conservative wing from the Republican body.

Does it strike anyone here as ironic that Rush - with his divisive, negative, “doom and gloom,” woe to the Republican party schtick - would make references and appeals to the Reagan legacy? Could you see Reagan going after fellow Republicans with the kind of bitter vitriol that Rush does?

Me, too! I even had Romney/Guiliani in my tagline for a day or so because they looked completely hitched in the debate.

Major surprise.

It's ongoing.

When I was a College Republican it was a constant battle with the Country Clubbers. Abortion (morality issue) was a defining point. CC's were embarrassed because part of the Pro-Life argument rests on the existence of a Creator.

Rush has talked about this recently. It's true.

I hope Rush isn't comparing Romney to Reagan. Romney is NO Reagan. The similarity to 1976 is that we get a Dem in the WH (because of our weak candidate) which will force a decent Conservative candidate 4 years from now.

“...and others besides Republicans deciding from state to state whom the Republican candidate will be.”

...and for some reason, the GOP in those states want it that way. If the state GOPs didn’t, they would change it.

No, Rush does not speak for all conservatives, nor all of those who claim to be conservative.

But who, pray tell, speaks on behalf of more conservatives than Rush?

In the old days, when both Republicans and Democrats were pro-America, pro-life, pro-national sovereignty and security, pro-morality, pro-individual liberty, pro-free enterprise and pro- Declaration of Independence and Constitution, the two parties debated over the best way to achieve the same common goal of protecting, preserving and promoting all American principles. That was then, not now. We no longer share the same goals.

Today, most Democrats, especially current DNC leaders, are anti-life, anti-sovereignty, anti-security, anti-morality, pro-greater communal good which is anti-individual liberty, anti-capitalism pigs who believe in neither the founding principles of the Declaration or the laws of the written Constitution they work to dismantle. They spend their every political moment working to subvert all of it and there is nothing American about it!

So the idea that we can all just “get along” in some utopian peaceful political harmony might be the biggest lie of the 20th century. Likewise, the idea that America itself, which seems divided right down the partisan center at present, between those who still hold all of our founding principles dear and those who seek to destroy these same principles and values, is equally retarded. (Sorry, that comment unfairly makes the retarded sound stupid.) I’d use the term insane, but even the insane can figure this one out. It takes courage, not elitist intellect to face reality.

As we have seen in recent elections, the enemy across the aisle is willing to do whatever it takes to advance its anti-American agenda. They will lie, cheat, commit treason and stab you in the back with their left hand while saluting you with their right. They invent false facts designed to scare average voters into supporting a party and an agenda no real American would ever knowingly support. They demonize all conservative, freedom loving moral people as greed driven right-wing crackpots and they use their leftist friends in the press to pound their lies into the American psyche day after day, month after month, year after year, until even the most well studied voter can no longer distinguish fact from fiction.

If he is NOT a conservative, he should NOT be a member of the GOP and he sure as hell shouldn’t be a leader of the GOP! No more pretenders! Open Letter to Members of the GOP - JB Williams http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1771175/posts

Rudy’s backers are more likely to go McCain than Romney... and Rudy’s said he’s going to endorce McCain.

Huckabee’s running and pandering to the evangelicals.. they aren’t going to go in large numbers to a Mormon.

I read that graphic as showing Romney’s chances are very very slim if things continue on the same trend. Super Tues is do or die for Romney. With Rudy’s endorcement, I really don’t see Romney winning enough to make a difference.

McCain becoming the nominee is looking more and more likely by the day.

Time will tell, if this happens however, and folks continue this line of nonsense that there is no difference between McCain and Clinton then those people will wind up marginalized and irrellevant in elections to come.

This balkanization crap has to end folks, the Republicans are going to choose a nominee, and frankly none of the choices this year were great ones, regardless of who would have one. The political pack this season has been the weakest I can think of in my lifetime on both sides of the isle.

This nonsensical rhetoric that any of the Rs are as bad or no different than HillBilly or Obama has to end. Its untrue, its ignorant, and its going to do nothing but make those who keep espousing it less relevant as time goes on.

Do you want your child to swear on a bible in a court of law, or bow to Mecca 5 times a day?
