“Independents voting in the closed primaries in Florida? Wonder who that favored?”

My understanding it that independets could vote, but only because they were able to cast votes on ballot initiatives. I have nothing specific.

Do they allow voters to change from independent to Republican at the poll? Do they have election day voter registration?

Independents were allowed to vote; however, their ballots should have only had the initiative and any local races, not the presidential preference.
