Don’t let the pirates aboard the GOP ship overpower the grassroots...that list of 95 items is technological cause for hope...the GOP central can be disintermediated. It’s going to take some work. Persevere.

Jumping off the ship is not a wise option. U.S.S. Constitution can be repaired.

I cried when Duncan Hunter dropped out.

Rome is burning.

However, I will vote in the primaries for whoever I think will do the least amount of harm. Rudy will drop out tomorrow, and I think he was the worst. The 2nd worst, imo, is John McCain.

McCain is the beat-Hillary candidate. This shift to the left is only temporary. McCain’s candidacy will provide safe-haven for lefties who can’t stand Hillary. No need for a new party. The RNC will be conservative again in 2010, midterm.

if you’re going to give us a 3rd party, give us a real 3rd party and not another kooky party

If Jim wouldn't mind, why not start our own at the grass-roots level...right here?

It probably would never get going though. I doubt if we could even agree on a name, much less a platform:')

McCain will be too old to run for a 2nd term anyway

Ludicrous. A third party has zero chance of ever getting a president elected. Support for a third party = Support for the Dims.

Such a party already exists. it’s teh Constitution Party.

No need to reinvent the wheel.

Here is the real truth about a 3rd party. If it starts to get anywhere it will be co-opted by the same neo-socialist forces that have overran the Democrats and are pushing RINOs in the Republican party. It will then become a tool in the hands of entrenched leftists and be used to manipulate elections in their interests, or it will be pushed over the deep end to fringe extremism and oblivion.

With the new Republican coalition McCain is putting together, he’ll wipe the floor with the whatever dim is unlucky enough to go up against him.

The Republicans came along to replace the Whig Party becasue the Whigs refused to take a stand on any of the most important issues of the day.

The Republicans did such a good job of replacing the Whigs that they have become the Whigs.

I’m not asking them to restore Constitutional government overnight; it took many years to build this monster. But I am asking them to begin moving the ball in our direction, towards our goal line, not towards the other team’s goal.

Apparently, that’s too much to ask.

My friends, starting a third party is not the way to go. Conservatives have to educate, re-organize, and focus. The Presidency is not everything. THere are some good people running on Republican tickes on the Congressional side.

If you want to vote for a third party Candidate for President, the Constitution and Libertarian Parties should come up with some nice protest candidates. Write the Presidential elect off and focus on what you can do, not what you can’t do.

I think so. If one of those RINOs wins, I'm staying home in November. We don't need a Hillary Lite.
