Citing the First Amendment, the president of the College of William and Mary will allow students to hold the controversial "Sex Workers' Art Show" on campus next month, the Daily Press reported.
"Defining traditions of openness that sustain universities" require to allow the show, featuring performances by strippers, prostitutes and other sex workers, to go on, Gene Nichol said in a statement released Monday.

If my history and memory are still intact, (doubtful, I'm sure), William and Mary is the oldest college in America. If these idiots haven't figured out the first amendment by now, what does that say about the rest of American society?

Can we believe that a supposedly educated man like Nichols really doesn’t understand the vast difference between imposing “censorship” and declining “sponsorship”?
He and his University are under no obligation -— moral or legal -— to provide an on-campus venue for exhibitionists.
And academic relevance? Even if they have courses in abnormal psychology, that’s no reason to host the crazies as they display themselves for fun and profit.
Sounds like more and more elite universiteies are actually an educational scam. And at tens of thousands of dollars per student, not a cheap one, either.
