What will happen to Giuliani’s delegates, if he gets any?
Winner takes all the delegates, and Giuliani is probably not going to win, so no delegates.
He’ll keep them. If one candidate has enough to win, it doesn’t do him any good. If it’s a brokered convention, he can use them for leverage for a cabinet position, etc. With the number he’s picking up, he could probably only get junior ambassador to Haiti. After so many ballots, I think they’re released to vote however they want, but there hasn’t been a brokered convention in my lifetime (1952 for the Dems, 1948 for the Pubs.)
