Finally, there is a conservative answer to MoveOn.org: RoeGone.org, as in Roe v. Wade GONE. Nice, huh? What's even nicer is the ad they're launching to expose Mitt Romney's record. Be looking for secular conservative pundits and compromising pro-lifers to jump the Romney ship soon. No kidding. I predict this thing will signal the end of the Romney campaign.
Unlike the other ads that have been done on Romney that primarily focus on his flip-flops on abortion, marriage, gun control, immigration, taxes, pornography etc., RoeGone.org's ad clearly delineates Romney's record as governor which is very appropriate since that's exactly what Gov. Romney said we should do. I was there at the debate last week when Romney responded to the flip-flop accusations with the words: "I can point to a very simple way to find out exactly where I stand, and that is look at my record as governor."
Let's do that, shall we?
As governor, Mitt Romney issued an executive order forcing justices of the peace to perform homosexual weddings, or resign. Then he ordered marriage licenses changed to read "party A" and "party B" instead of "husband" and "wife."
As governor, Romney appointed a board member of the Lesbian and Gay Bar Association to the bench, and appointed more Democrat judges than Republicans.
As governor, Romney authored and signed a mandatory heath insurance plan backed by Ted Kennedy including taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.
As governor, Romney overruled his own health department and forced Catholic hospitals to distribute the morning after abortion pill.
Homosexual marriage?
Tax-funded abortions?
Catholic hospital morning after pills?
Homosexual activist judges?
"Look at my record as governor."

I already voted Romney today.
Yeah, Ron Paul the Socialist....riight...
I would have liked to see Ron Paul be our boundary marker on the Right, with most of his positions being the starting point Domestically and then Candidates have to move left to moderate their views.
Right now, most of our candidates already were Left of Paul, and then moved even further Left as the campaign unfolded.
Paul the baby doc, stated categorically that late term abortions were no needed and in 40 yrs of practice he had never performed one, or any abortion.
Now THAT is a good starting point.
My gut tells me that the population would be more outraged by a lurch to the left. A slide to the left however is like increasing taxes. People don’t get outraged very much and one day they maybe wake up to the fact that > 50% of their pay is going to the government.
A hard leftist Democrat President would be a good way to get a Republican Majority in the House in 2010.
And maybe it would be best to rebuild the Republican Coalition. Which is pretty much dead right now.
Judges as you state, are the big problem unfortunately.
I wanna do over with Hunter Tancredo and Fred as the only candidates.
QFT
And so if our "pet" "issue" is pre-born babies, does that mean you equate pre-born babies as "pets?"
Succinct AND ‘brilliant!
Would you mind if I quoted it? -— (giving credit, of course.)
Not me, Reagen lost his bid at the nomination twice before he finally won in 1980, so there does have to be fire in the belly to keep on getting up off of the mat to go another round.
They call it “World NUT Daily” for a reason.
Sad to see someone such as yourself buying the lying spin vis a vis Romney’s unlawful and unconstitutional institution of gay marriage in MA. You need to study what happened a whole lot more carefully.
Fred is still leading in TN...I really hope he doesn’t fade away, we need a Conservative Leader to pick up the pieces.
Ron Paul is a socialist?!?
I’d take Mitt over McCain too. People disregard that Romney had to deal with perhaps the most liberal legislature in the US. He had to pick and choose his battles.
And to think that so many here savage our current President. Can’t wait to see him gone they say.
Be careful what you wish for. It will absolutely get worse.
“hell have problems in closed primaries like FL.”
Crazy John will have more trouble in FL than he will in NY, NJ, and CT, all winner-take-all next Tuesday. Mitt needs to win today, or it is really over.
A New York block IS a mile, isn’t it?
World Nut Daily - Anti Romney story # 38.
Now that they don’t have Fred Thompson to bash anymore, Mitt’s their next target. Stand by for 3 or 4 of these a day.
I am not shouting Mitt's praises, far from it...just making an unfortunate, difficult, pragmatic decision based on what's left to vote on...and for the reasons I mentioned.
"(theres a reason Ron Paul wins the polls, you know)Funniest statement posted on this thread award.
It’s a real problem; we need to be very assiduous and very careful. I will say that while at the beginning I was willing to see if I could live with Senator McCain as the nominee he has steadily done things to make that seem the worse choice as between him and any of the other three who have seemed at some point to have a shot.
