Thanks.
I went to the original article from the link at the top of the first post. The way is was posted here makes my eyes water!
Did you just have to get that in?
Amen, MM, AMEN.
This country could stand to have many MORE men like Gordon B. Hinckley—of ALL faiths. Guys who stand for what they believe in. Guys who are honorable, honest, and giving. Guys who love God and love our country. Guys who are optimistic, enthusiastic and hard-working. Guys who love their families and treat all people of all faiths and culture with respects.
America will miss you, President Hinckley.
America could use some presidential candidates like that! They’re too decent for politics, though.
All you have to do is cut it out, click Start, click RUN, paste it there and click it. And VOILA!!! the original article.
Now, you know as much about computer operation as I do.

Not now.
“Im betting that Thomas Spencer Monson gets chosen to be the next LDS church president once the LDS Apostles meet to decide upon this announcement after Hinckleys funeral.”
In case someone hasn’t pointed it out yet (I haven’t read the whole thread yet), the senior Apostle is next in line. Always. There is no choosing. Monson is it.
Historically, the longest-serving apostle has always been chosen to succeed the deceased prophet. But it doesn’t necessarily HAVE to be that way. It depends what the Quorum decides, under inspiration.
Realistically, yes, it’s 99.9999% likely that Monson will be the next President.
Thanks. You’re probably right. It’s been too many years since I was in the thick of LDS thought.

Thanks for watching our six.
God bless President Hinckley and his family. He was not a good but a great man and example of a Christlike servant and a fearless leader.
I’m LDS. This will send shock waves throughout the world. God bless his soul. Thanks for the nice words spoken on here.
may he rest in peace , my condolences to the LDS church family
I am not gonna pile on here, but I so tire of the "judge not" phrase being so wrongly used it makes me sick. If your gonna paraphrase, paraphrase "judge not, ye hypocrite"... Cause who is not to judge?, it is a hypocrite. Not only does the verse there say for a hypocrite to not judge, but how the hypocrite is to clean up their act to start judging rightly. More at the link below...
Judge Rightly is not some fellow's name ya know
real Christians show some respect and decorum upon the death of good man.
Of course that hinges on the "good" part, and we have seen the arguments on FR pro and con on this before. I do not know this fellow, but do know the religion. I do feel there is other threads for this type of discussion of course and feel the mods are doing a fine job of keeping it off this thread, which is just common sense.
Today I went to a funeral of an old old neighbor of my grandfather. She (Mrs. Ida Barkley) was 95 and was the toughest spitfire Christian woman I ever met in my life. She milked cows and chopped wood until she was 80 by herself. She was a tireless Christian lady that always shared from putting flowers on the alter when she could to visiting nursing homes constantly to minister love. She patched her own tin roof, she drove the oldest beatup pickup truck in the town, but she didn't have a prideful bone in her body. She transcended all classes of people and was respected from the community as better than gold. As far as I know she never owned two coins to rub together and if she did, she joyfully gave from it. That is my definition of a "good" person and today "I wept".
Condolences to family, friends, and all those who cared for this man.
While I disagree with many of his actions, I have to admire his skills as spin-meister and politician, as well as appreciate his apparent compassion and understanding.
