This is terrible. United States Navy sonar causes dolphins to murder their young!

If the Navy can stop just one vicious dolphin from killing it’s worth it.
To: SmithL
Female and minority dolphins hardest hit.

Not a boomer issue. They’re only a threat to the occasional Giant Squid.

It seems to me that the US could maximize our enemy submarine detection, putting our extremely sensitive listening equipment to good use, by sending out perhaps torpedo sized drones that when at a predetermined location would send out *very quiet* active sonar pings.
The idea is that the enemy might not even detect that they are being actively pinged, but our extremely sensitive listening equipment would notice. The pings might even be disguised to sound like naturally occurring noises.
Just a few such devices might cover a vast underwater area.

With this training going on right now off San Diego is also a huge number of NATO countries deployed here involved.

The study CONTENDS that POSSIBLE harmful effects are caused by the sonar.
The 2 words ladies and gentlemen...
SONAR ON! Unless you’ve got definitive proof of the harmful effects, shut the hell up.
Dolphins are already PROVEN to kill each other, and lesser rivals with aggression that makes sharks look gay.

Of course we should stop Sonar in Kalifornia Waters, what are a few more Communist Submarines there anyway?
