MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y.; former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
LATE EDITION (CNN) : Gen. David Petraeus; Paulson; former Gov. Mitt Romney, R-Mass.; Huckabee.
Good point!
Oh I understood what you meant. Indeed I’d love to see what you meant happen.
Whatever it takes....McCain is the liberal choice for our party.
(RE the NYT story on Michael Yon): “professional journalists”
What an oxymoron.
Read the rest of the paragraph. I said his ENDORSEMENT would carry just as much weight as being on the ticket itself. I agree, the pro-life wing is very powerful.
He also brings a lot of negatives and inadequacies as VP nominee that other VPs would better resolve. Amnesty being the big one.
I miss Fred.
Well said. That's a "keeper"!
This election is not only for the soul of the Republican Party but for the soul of America. We need to win both contests.
The NYT writing about Michael Yon is like the Daily Kos writing about Rush, you don't expect much flattery, and take whatever you can get.
The slimes does not have a journalist fit to wash his undies, including Billie Kristol.
I’m not seeing negative ads from Romney.
The pro-gun wing is as big or bigger than the pro-life is.
That is the reason I think Romney or Rooty nomination = Landslide loss in Nov.
I agree. A lot of Democrats I hear are asking themselves if they really want to go through another four years of Clinton scandals and screw-ups. I don't think there is a Democrat alive who doesn't believe that if Clinton hadn't gotten himself impeached Al Gore would have been in the White House the last seven years. If Obama shows conclusively that he can attract white voters, there will be plenty of Democrats, including establishment ones, who will be ready to ditch Hillary.
Thanks, Rod.
Looks yummy!!!!
"Despite the arresting pictures of Bush greeting foreign leaders and visiting the Church of the Nativity, Saudi King Abdullah's palatial estate near Riyadh and the desert camp of the sheiks of the United Arab Emirates, the president was an afterthought on the news back home. A study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism found that 49 percent of radio, television and newspaper coverage from Jan. 6 to 11 was devoted to the presidential campaigns, compared with just 4 percent that focused on Bush's trip."
Those of us who read the Day in the Life thread every night know how much there was to cover on Bush's trip, and how the coverage would have pleased many Americans who probably think that he spends all of his time at Crawford or Camp David, based on the minimal coverage his activities get in Big Media.
I would love to know who were in the Press Pool for that trip because I have a theory that many of the WH Press Corps are too cowardly to want to be in close proximity to such a target as our president in such a dangerous area of the world. No wonder the short straw drawers had to go.
But the pro-gun wing is not necessarily united, at least as much as the pro-life wing.
They’re against Giuliani and Romney but in general the pro-gun wing tends to be more “big picture” than the one-issue pro-lifers.
WoW!
Neither one of these bozoettes could give a straight answer to a straight question if their lives depended on it.
Thanks for the info.
