New York Times ^ | 01/27/2008 | Caroline Kennedy

Posted on 01/26/2008 6:44:42 PM PST by steadcom

OVER the years, I’ve been deeply moved by the people who’ve told me they wished they could feel inspired and hopeful about America the way people did when my father was president. This sense is even more profound today. That is why I am supporting a presidential candidate in the Democratic primaries, Barack Obama...

Something like 90% of the sex crimes are done by black men. The number of white men who rape black women, is so small that it can’t be measured.

Considering Oprah was raped and abused by black male members of her family, I should think she would WANT to do a show on it, but alas.

Like her father? Obama?

JFK? Onassis?

Spoken like a true child of political expediency.

I always loved Jackie...a highly intelligent, witty women who put her children first. I thought that she held the country together by her behavior when JFK was killed. She was simply extraordinary. I also liked the way she kept her private life as private as possible.
I remember that once she said that her husband was a weak man - but had no idea that she came to hate him. I thought that when they went to Dallas their marriage was on the mend.
I’m glad Jackie wasn’t here to see John die. Lots of tragedy in that family.

That may come as a surprise to her husband and three kids. Liz Cheney, on the other hand...

Have you got a source for your BS or do you just make it up as you go along? Seriously, you need help.

According to the USDOJ per http://www.ojp.usdoj.gov/bjs/cvict_v.htm#race

In 2005—

Per every 1,000 persons in that racial group, 27 blacks, 20 whites and 14 persons of other races sustained a violent crime.

Black and white persons experienced similar rates of simple assault.

Black, white, and other races experienced about the same rates of rape/sexual assault.

According to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports, in 2005 about 49% of murder victims were white, 49% were black, and 3% were Asians, Pacific Islander, and Native Americans.

Blacks were more likely than whites to be victimized by a carjacking (3 versus 1 per 10,000 respectively) 1993-2002.

Between 2001 and 2005, American Indians experienced violence at rates more than twice that of blacks, 2 1/2 times that of whites, and more than 5 times that of Asians.

Black victims are over represented in homicides involving drugs. Compared with the overall involvement of blacks as victims, blacks are less often the victims of sex-related homicides, workplace killings, and homicide by poison.

Race patterns among offenders are similar to those among victims.

86% of white victims were killed by whites
94% of black victims were killed by blacks

For white females of all ages, victimization rates have declined. Since 1993, rates for black females have also declined in all age groups.

Males were more likely to be violently victimized by a stranger than a nonstranger, and females were more likely to be victimized by a friend, an acquaintance, or an intimate.

About seven in ten female rape or sexual assault victims stated the offender was an intimate, other relative, a friend or an acquaintance.

Phil Graham suffered from manic-depressive psychosis before his suicide. For details, read his wife Kathryn’s excellent autobiography.

Best guess is that Marilyn Monroe died from medical malpractice; an overdose of sedatives administered by enema. At the time of her death Marilyn was planning to remarry Joe DiMaggio, and was no danger to JFK or his brother.

The really interesting unsolved murder case is that of Mary Pinchot Meyer, one of JFK’s mistresses, and ex-wife of CIA official Cord Meyer. Mary was killed jogging in Washington during the summer of 1964, and immediately after her death the head of CIA counter-intelligence, James Jesus Angleton, was interrupted breaking into her house, to try to steal her diary, by Washington Post editor Benjamin Bradlee and his wife Antoinette Pinchot Bradlee, Mary’s sister. In 2001, shortly before his death, Cord Meyer was asked who he thought had killed his ex-wife, and reportedly replied “The same sons of bitches that killed John F. Kennedy.” I’ve always thought that Oswald was the lone assassin of JFK, but you can never be completely sure of anything.

Yeah, but a lot of people wound up dead around the Kennedys, and the Clintons. Not accusing anyone of anything, lol. Just making an observation.

Thanks for that post. I’ve no love for the Clintons, but the “Hillary killed JFK Jr” thing makes about as much sense as the “WTC was an inside job” conspiracy theory. It makes us look like whack jobs.

Caroline Kennedy-Schlongberg was 5 years old when her father was killed. Everything she knows about him is no more than everything we know about him. Her opinion is therefore quite meaningless. Moreover, she is light years more liberal than he ever was. Ask her if she supports he Bush tax cuts. Her father would. He put in nearly the same tax cuts himself.

“Everything she knows about him is no more than everything we know about him.”

Ludicrous statement. Do you assume that her mother, uncles and aunts, and her father’s friends and advisers have had no contact with her? Have you read every legitimate thing there is to read both by and about JFK as she no doubt has? Do you have access to the personal mementos, family traditions, and the cultural lore that provide the texture and substance of their lives? I think not.

Dittos for calling her out on all of the b.s. she's been posting.

What has happened to FR? Used to be that a person would never dare of making such off-the-wall comments, or would at least be expected to give a reputable source for their claims.
