InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Survey Florida Presidential Primary

(Note: This poll is of Registered Republican voters who have already or intend to vote in the Florida GOP primary. Conducted Friday night.)

Q: If you have already voted or are likely to vote before or on this coming Tuesday’s Republican presidential primary which one candidate is your preference in the primary?

Romney: 26%

McCain: 24%

Giuliani: 16%

Huckabee: 15%

Paul: 7%

Other: 4%

Undecided: 8%

The survey was conducted January 25 and was weighted for age, race, gender, and geographic distribution. Margin of error +/- 3%.

Matt Towery, CEO of InsiderAdvantage, writes a nationally syndicated column (Creators Syndicate) based out of Jacksonville’s Florida Times-Union added these comments on the poll:

“Romney is taking small portions of the vote from other lower performing candidates and the undecideds are slowly closing.”

This was conducted on the 25th, ie, after the presidential debate on PMSNBC.

It seems unlikely that Giulliani is going to win FL. If he comes in 3rd, will he continue on?

I hope Mitt can beat McQueeg in FL. That will give him a boost here in CA where, right now, he’s running a close 2nd.

the demographics are worth looking at. While they still include dems and indys, theie percentage on this poll is lower. by tuesday they might only show republicans, lol.
according to this poll, Romney leads with those already voted by less than 1%. about 1/3 already voted.

“according to this poll, Romney leads with those already voted by less than 1%. about 1/3 already voted.”

Early voting is high and insider advantage is not the only polling firm to pick this up. SurveyUSA also shows 29% of likely voters have already voted.

I notice the RCP does not include ARG. Have they concluded that poll to be too horribly inaccurate to be included?

Romney should win the primary based on Florida Republican demographics.

Republicans in FL tend to be more white collar and upscale than in Iowa or South Carolina and so are more focused on economic issues. I expect Romney to blow out Queeg in the I-4.

The panhandle would probably go to McCain, but Huckabee is splitting the panhandle vote and Giuliani is splitting the moderate GOP vote.

It looks pretty good for Romney.

I wish they would call me for the polls. McNuts and his other old people called my cell phone three times yesterday and twice already today.

I cannot beleive anyone would prefer McCadaver after that debate. It was painful to watch his confusion.

McCain being endorsed by the NY Slimes should give all other candidates at least 3-4 points on that fact alone. NOT being endorsed by the NY Slimes is a badge of honor for any Republican.

I think ARG is going to be closed for good by the start of next year.

This polling group seems to be new. Does anybody know their track record?

Why do polls include dems when Florida is a closed primary?

Mitt haters are deeply saddened.

MittBots lose the argument every time they act like democrats and play the hate card.

McNuts was here in Lakeland today at Fantasy of Flight. (Neat place by the way) Romney and Huckypuck were also here. Couldn’t get away to see Romney.

McCain is only slightly better than Ron Paul. In fact, you could at least trust Ron Paul to do what he says he would do so I guess in that sense even Ron Paul would be better.

I really wanted Fred Thompson, but I can live with Romney.

A vote for Senor McCain = Amnesty in my book.

Why do polls include dems when Florida is a closed primary?

They are registered GOPers who identify most closely with dems but claim that they will vote in the GOP primary.

The Democrats don’t want a tall, vibrant, healthy man like Mitt Romney standing next to their short, fat old hag during the national debates...
