AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, a highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with talent on loan from G-d, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I like Fred, but I would much prefer the GOP candidate for VP is someone who could pick up the mantle so we're not in the pickle we're in this year - without a standard bearer.

Yes, good point. I was really hoping for a Thompson/Hunter ticket for just that reason. As has already been discussed on FR, there are a number of fine, conservative VP candidates out there who could serve that purpose.

"If Mitt is the nominee, we’re going to hear “Mormon” more from the MSM than anywhere else. They’ll keep the “soft bigotry” alive until election day."

Hey, Big Guy.

Here's the way I react to that ... Every time you hear the word "Mormon", substitute the word "Jew". It will be an ugly reminder of the not so subtle bigotry of the left, and unfortunately, of a number of members of the right.

Take a look at any Mitt Thread and wait for the "non-Christian cult" crazies to show up.

Maybe there's a Republican governor out there who, with Romney, could run on a ticket of beltway OUTsiders.

Haley Barbour? Tim Pawlenty?

Late, totally numb, Jersey Pings!

Just a quick note to say my surgery went well, but now I'm crawling off to bed to listen to Rush's show in comfort. Bye

Mr Potatohead is one of those in the MSM most worthy of being ignored. I might attewntion to that piece of work the day he goes after McLame.

He's no better than Snufalopagus or Katie "Look at my Bum" Couric ...

I hear ya. I’m still holding out hope until the Florida results are in. But, it’s looking more and more like Romney (or god forbid) McCain’s the one.

Pawlenty better than Barbour... We need rust belt electoral votes, because Ohio may not come our way and we need to make up for that.

I’ve got more questions than issues at the moment. But read the article. It’s a decent primer.

Ok. I'll go way out on a limb here. How about Linda Chavez? Gives female voters someone to vote for, and may sway a few hispanics.

Sorry, Linda has jumped on the illegal immigrant rights bandwagon. She showed up in Prince William with some sort of “rights commission” to tell us how evil we were for trying to deport illegals who were caught committing crimes.

Barbour could bring the south, and he stands in stark contrast to the Dems on the Katrina saga.

He didn’t cry and whine. He got to work.

“Heck, some gasbag from Forbes said on one of the news nets the other day that the definition of a recession doesn’t matter. It’s what consumers feel that matter.”

A lot of people around here have the same view of inflation.
