Doesn't matter. McCain, and his supporting administration, is still better than Hitlery or Obama Hussein.

McCain=Amnesty=Destruction of this country as we know it. Everything else is like straightening the deck chairs on the Titanic.

What some people fail to realize is that by granting legal status to the 12 to 20 million illegals already here, you are also opening the doors to at least 66 million more LEGAL immigrants [based on just 12 million illegals] who will enter thru chain migration, i.e., family reunification, above and beyond the current 1.2 million legal immigrants we admit each year. The country is finished if that happens. Amnesty is forever. You can't unring a bell.

With the strident view you hold about a candidate needing to behave exactly as you expected, how do you imagine the rest of the 300 million constituents will feel when their opinions differ even slightly from yours? What should they do? Are we not a Republic committed to having some of our expectations disappointed by a representative government or do you actually think you should prevail in all circumstances? I don’t remember the Army that way. How did you put up with it then?

McCain has many bad points. But Buchanan is worse.

Yes, but Buchanan isn't running for the Presidency. McCain is. You should always welcome the truth, even if it's from someone you don't personally like.

But we can't allow our country to be Peroted again. That's what gave us those damned Clintons to begin with.

No, most of that fault lies with Bush 41. Perot wouldn't have had a snowball's chance in hell if Bush 41 hadn't been such a milquetoast and been trying to "get along" with the Dem's, just like his baby boy. When the GOP runs candidates who have balls in their scrotums, they actually win...which is different than the democrats simply losing.

Don’t people around here still remember last summer? Amnesty was getting approved in the dark of the night, and the man that was doing it was John McCain.

And now some people here trust him?

Pretty amazing ain't it?

Haven't forgotten it. And if RINO McQueeg gets the nomination, the MSM will also have a field day with that new head growing on the side of his face.

Something is WRONG with McCain. I think the POW thing messed up his mind permanently-seriously. Good grief, we have the Rain Man, a Socialist lesbian and a Socialist Muslim(in hiding) to choose from?
Doomed! There is NO good outcome to this election that I can see-unless millions write in ‘none of the above’ on election day. I would be more comfortable with blindfolded GWB opening a phonebook from a randomly chosen city and pointing to a name. There’s your President!

Thanks for the info, “my friend”. I didn’t know that Hernandez joined Sen. McCain’s campaign.

I never hear McCain thumping his chest over that big success like he does when he sneers about his Rummy conquest.

My point was that when people say he votes the same as Obama/Clinton, that is completely false. And if people would take a step back and not hyperventilate, they can see that clearly by his overall voting record.

The vote in the Senate on McCain-Feingold was 60-40 with only Chafee (R-RI), Cochran (R-MS), Collins (R-ME), Domenici (R-NM), Fitzgerald (R-IL), Jeffords (R-VT), Lugar (R-IN), McCain (R-AZ), Snowe (R-ME), Specter (R-PA), Stevens (R-AK), and Thompson (R-TN) voting yes and all the other Reps voting no. The only Dems to join the majority of Reps voting no were Breaux (D-LA) and Nelson (D-NE).

Make no mistake about it, this was a Dem bill and it was not veto proof yet Bush signed it with "reservations" about its constitutionality.

The same holds true with the CIR that passed the Senate in 2006 [S. 2611] that passed 39-4 by the Dems with the Reps being AGAINST the bill 32-23. It was a Dem bill with McCain working with the Dems against his own party.

What party nominates a "maverick" to be its nominee? Hopefully, it won't be the GOP.

I know, I know, I know, I KNOW!!!!!!!

Maybe I'll just go buy an island somewhere and forget about all this crap. Most of the time I think it is too late to fix the country anyway. Every now and then I have a tiny bit of hope, but then we have primaries like this, and I am back to thinking that we will be less free every year, until we are nothing like the Founding Fathers planned.

Correct. Clinton became president because Bush said "Read My Lips", then raised taxes, then tried to tell us we were stupid and didn't understand what he said.

It was HIS fault and ONLY his fault, not the people who were so disgusted with him that they couldn't in good conscience vote for him.

How many times does this straw man have to be knocked down?

needing to behave exactly as you expected

I don't need a candidate who behaves EXACTLY as I expect. I have to have a candidate who at least meets some MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS. That is not McCain and I will never vote for him.

Juan Hernandez is a arrogant POS, who loves the idea of screwing over US citizens.

Geesh, this makes me despise McCain even more.

Pat Buchanan was on the Laura Ingraham show this week, he said he is supporting Romney because of the immigration issue.

McCain is weakest (in my eyes) on immigration and “climate change” (ie drinking the left’s kool-aid a la Nixon).

All the candidates, except Ron Paul are extremely free trade.

As a disciple of Bastiat and the later Austrian School, Ron Paul is probably the strongest Free Trader in the race.
