Yes, he was born into an accomplished family (is there something wrong with that?), ...

Kids that accomplish the most have parents that did the same. Hence the problems in schools with kids in poverty - they do what they see at home. So I see it as a plus that he came from smart parents PLUS continued the accomplishments. He's no Paris-type.

Russert tried to get in the class envy thing by bringing up how much money Romney was putting into his campaign. I thought he answered it well and didn't give into the agenda.

I guess I’m not an “average joe”. I don’t smoke, or drink. But I have no problem hanging with people who do (although I do find that I am getting less able to tolerate the smell of smoke because I’m never around it anymore). I do drink caffiene.

I also never had sex with anybody but my wife, who I’ve been married to for coming on 25 years. I must be a real freak to some people here.

I have Mormon friends from work, and I enjoy their company. They aren’t as stuffy as you might think from their solid family values.

"Wise" is probably the best word - short and to the point as well! Those that are 'educated' don't mean too much to me after working with teachers! Having that piece of paper didn't do most of them any good. Now, when I worked with engineers, I thought that piece of paper did mean something because they were one intelligent - and humorous - group! I guess that's another reason I hated teaching...but there were SOOOO many other reasons too.

Romney is the most liberal Governor in the history of the republic, from either party. And now he’s deceiving the people. Any Republican who votes for him is either naive in the extreme, or isn’t a conservative in the first place.

What I was trying to imply is that “likeability” is not the most important thing, but perhaps principle and conviction. I’m sorry if in my weak attempt at humor, I didn’t make that clear.:)
