I thought this was a very thought provoking book. Didn’t agree with many of his conclusions, but I believe it is definitely worth a read.

“Then five years later, spurred by a grass-roots movement of 20-something Christians longing to connect to God without ties to the religious right, the book became a sudden hit.”
________
That’s the goal. The MSM will do its part. Crush the conservatives.

He has a lot of hate for people who think differently from him. It's not unilateral - just try saying you're a Progressive Democrat in your typical Evangelical church. People will look at you like you have a demon in you.

I agree. It does move us away from our smug complacency.

"It's a dangerous term so I try to avoid it," said Miller, who considered giving up his career as a Christian writer and leaving the church in 2003 because he couldn't attend services without getting angry. ::::rolls eyes::::
Another narcissist who chooses to draw attention to himself because he's just so darn outraged and all.

I didn’t get that sense at all. But of course, you haven’t read it and I have.

People will look at you like you have a demon in you. That's because you do.
I'm being a bit facetious, but on the whole, what 'progressive democrats' stand for is in complete contradiction to what scripture teaches.

"He has a lot of hate for people who think differently from him."
So do a lot of the people around here, many of whom would seem to argue that only a vote for (plug in the name of candidate) can prove that you are a real Christian.
I don't think Miller hates those who are different. He simply does not understand why we elevate so many things above the Grace of God. We are called to love our enemies. That is unless they are Democrats, Clintons, liberals, or don't believe that all Hispanics should be instantly deported.

I have a problem with the religious left. They don’t want to allow the scriptures to interfere with their own doctrine.
