Albany, NY (LifeNews.com) -- In an act that is sure to generate guffaws from the pro-life community, a group of pro-abortion clergy in Schenectady held a ceremony at a local abortion business to bless it and call it "sacred ground." Religious officials who are pro-life call the ceremony sacrilegious by blessing a place that kills the life God creates.

You can be pro-abortion. Or you can be Clergy. You cant be both. You can nowadays. There are denominations that provide abortion-on-demand as part of employees' health care packages (like ELCA). Some denominations even support hospitals that do 'regular' abortions, like here (note UCC): http://www.nrlc.org/news/1999/NRL1199/illi.html

It is worth noting that the lead clergy member dedicating the abortuary is a United Church of Christ minister. When I read the headline I KNEW the only church that would do this is the Church of Christ.....whats with this church?

Well of course its Sacred GroundJust look at the number of human sacrifices performed there..
Thank you for so clearly seeing the truth.
sacred ground where the violent voices of hatred and oppression are quelled
The only voices being quelled are the tiny voices of the babies being killed.
What evil poses in the name of religion.

That's UNITED Church of Christ, not the Church of Christ.
The United Church of Christ is where all the gay hippies and Marxists gather on Sundays.
The Church of Christ is a different animal - they are very conservative. Think of them as humorless Baptists, without a piano (or any instruments, for that matter). They are Biblically sound, although a little prickly.

The United Church of Christ was formed in 1957 by the union of two denominations, the Evangelical and Reformed Church, with its roots in the Pietist movements in Germany among Lutherans and Calvinists, the Congregational Christian Churches, the descendants of English-American Puritan churches. and a faction of the Disciples of Christ, which is in turn a portion of the Campbellite movement that started on the frontier during the 19th Century. Generally speaking, the conservatives left the founding denominations around the time of the merger. It has endorsed homosexual marriage on the denominational level, something even the other mainline churches have not done. Additionally, they have gone further in divesting from investment in Israel than any other liberal church group.
In summary, the United Church of Christ is bad news.
This is my first contribution to FR.
I hope I don’t get this wrong.
It seems we are witnessing a radical change in religion.
If this story is pointing to an uncertain future, I recomend a new
prayer that has already been used in many television repeats.
It goes like this.
OUR BOMB WHO ART IN HEAVEN> I expect that someone like
a confused astronaut will indeed access the firing mechanism.
what a shame.

To invoke the name of God in blessing the unspeakably horrific is just unimagineableJesus said there is one sin God would not forgive--blaspheming the Holy Spirit. This must be close to what that ominous phrase means. I don't know this so-called pastor but I'd guess his soul is in severe jeopardy.

It’s just such an abominable act to “bless” that it’s beyond my comprehension.

>> This is beyond sick!
Scumbags manage to find their way into virtually everything — there is no sacred ground that is free from the stain of evil. Some of the depraved are extortionists, others pedophiles, some rape, and there are those that kill and commit murder.
Certainly the life taken from the unborn is sacred, but those who part the child’s soul from his/her being are the stain makers.
May God bless all children especially those killed through abortion. May God help us find a way to end the crimes committed against those incapable of defending themselves.
