FORT WORTH — So much for aliens in Texas dairy country.
At least that's what the military said today, reporting that 10 F-16 fighter jets were training in the Stephenville area the night dozens of residents reported seeing a UFO.
Although Air Force Reserve officials at the Joint Reserve Base Naval Air Station in Fort Worth initially said none of their planes were in the area Jan. 8, they said today that they had made a mistake and wanted to set the record straight "in the interest of public awareness."
Some residents aren't buying it, though, saying the military's revelation actually bolsters their claims because several reported seeing at least two fighter jets chasing an object.
"This supports our story that there was UFO activity in that area," said Kenneth Cherry, the Texas director of the Mutual UFO Network, which took more than 50 reports from locals at a meeting last weekend. "I find it curious that it took them two weeks to 'fess up. I think they're feeling the heat from the publicity."
From well-respected business owners to a county constable, several dozen people swear that what they saw was larger, quieter, faster and lower to the ground than an airplane. They also said the object's lights changed configuration, unlike those of a plane.
"I guarantee that what we saw was not a civilian aircraft," Steve Allen, a pilot and freight company owner, said today.
Allen said that the planes' training area in the Brownwood Military Operating Area that includes Stephenville's Erath County does not include the airspace where he saw the object. Also, Jan. 8 was not the only day sightings were reported.
Anne Frazor, who owns a fabric store in Stephenville, about 70 miles southwest of Fort Worth, said many in town have seen military aircraft zoom overhead from time to time as part of training operations. But she said that is different than what she saw Jan. 8.
"I couldn't begin to say what it was, but to me it wasn't planes," Frazor said.
Since the reported sightings two weeks ago, the 17,000-resident town has had some fun with the international publicity. Some high-schoolers made T-shirts that read "Stephenville: the new Roswell" on the front and "They're here for the milk!" on the back. A picture features flying saucer beaming up a cow.
This week Tarleton State University is even hosting a lecture by a UFO researcher on the U.S. government's secret response to UFOs, based on previously classified documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act.
The U.S. Air Force says it has not investigated UFO sightings since 1969 when it ended Project Blue Book, which examined more than 12,600 reported UFO sightings — including 700 that were never explained. That program started a few months after the 1947 crash near Roswell, N.M., which the government said it was a top-secret weather balloon but others involved later said was an alien spacecraft.
"What we want is the government to admit there are UFOs and what they know about them," Cherry said.

The Destruction Of The American Family
Victoria Hardy
August 05, 2008
I´ve seen it stated over and again that there is a design, a plot, to destroy the American family. At first, I assumed it was just more paranoid ramblings of conspiracy theorists, despite the fact that evidence of shattered families is exposed daily, my mind still couldn´t conceive that it was scripted. Sometimes it is hard to discern if the decisions made in our country are simply about money or if there are hidden agendas and it is certainly hard for the average citizen to consider the motivations may be dark.
The messages in the world are highly confusing, backwards somehow, we have a war on drugs, yet millions are on behavior modifying prescriptions and every other ad on television and print media is about a drug. We have a war on terror, but suddenly our local, small town police officers are militarized, carrying tasers and discussing pain compliance. We introduced sex education in schools to teach our children how to abstain or protect themselves and now illegitimate births, abortions and STDs are at an all time high. And now I see our leaders are looking at a few more contradictory ideas to implement on we the people.
Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) has introduced S. 1375: Mom’s Opportunity to Access Health, Education, Research, and Support for Postpartum Depression Act, otherwise known as The Melanie Blocker Stokes Mother’s Act. This bill was named for a young pharmaceutical sales rep that took her life after undergoing courses of anti-depressant, anti-anxiety and anti-psychotic medicines for postpartum depression. She even underwent electro-shock therapy in her search to feel better after giving birth, but in the end, she jumped 12 stories to her death. World Net Daily
The bill calls for screening new mothers and providing essential services, including social support, therapy, medication, and hospitalization when deemed necessary by a trained provider. Postpartum psychosis, in which a new mother may experience hallucinations and thoughts of suicide or homicide, is said to affect 1 out of 1000 new mothers, but this bill provides grants to private or non-profit entities or state or local governments to screen new mothers before they leave birthing centers or hospitals. Gov Track
It makes little sense to me that when we know these trained providers, medications and hospitalizations provided little assistance to Ms. Stokes, that we should now force them upon new mothers. How many women will be forced to take drugs under these screening procedures? How many women will be deemed depressed by the trained providers? How many new mothers will miss bonding with their children because they have been hospitalized for their own good? And why does the government feel the need to intrude into that very private time between a mother and her child? But wait, if they can´t get between you and your child one way, they have devised a couple others.
The Pre-K Act seeks to reach children in their first five years of life and encourages parents to enroll the children in state run daycares and preschools. And, of course, the program would also include mental health screenings and referrals for toddlers and preschoolers. Then we have the Education Begins at Home Act which promotes hospital visits and home visits to, once again, screen both the children and parents, I am sure, for mental health or developmental issues. Both of these programs are aimed at low income or military families, folks that are not in a position to question, refuse or fight back. And although these bills have nice and harmless sounding names, the intrusion into a private family moment can only cause harm and unneeded stress.
So it seems these bills have one thing in common, they want to get to children as soon as they are born, while their mothers are vulnerable and healing. Why are these agencies so determined to get their foot in the door? Well, maybe, because our leaders truly believe what Harvard psychiatrist Chester M. Pierce said at the 1974 International Seminar on Education, “Every child in America entering school at the age of five is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. It’s up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well by creating the international child of the future.”
Or perhaps they are working under the assumption that the words of Dr. Mary Jo Bane, Clinton’s Assistant Secretary of Administration for Children and Families in the Department of Health and Human Services, are true, “If we want to talk about equality of opportunity for children, then the fact that children are raised in families means there’s no equality . . . In order to raise children with equality, we must take them away from families and communally raise them.” It seems parents are slowly being weeded out of the equation and our leaders are making it clear that they know what is best for our family, our children and us. Of course, we are also being shown, if we have the courage to see, that family is no longer important, perhaps, even, a threat to the state.
And last year we had the UN considering the proposals of Innaiah Narisetti, the chairman of the Center for Inquiry’s India chapter, who believes that a parent teaching religion to a child constitutes child abuse. He stated, “In one form or another, all religions violate the rights of children.” And, “Such abuse begins with the involuntary involvement of children in religious practices from the time they are born.” Mr. Nasiretti’s proposal rejects the idea that a parent has a right to teach their children any religious beliefs and that the regulation of religion should fall in the hands of the world government. Life Site News
So what are we learning? It´s wrong to teach our own children faith, but it is perfectly acceptable for government entities, strangers, to descend into birthing rooms to push drugs or determine our competence. We are being taught to throw away the knowledge of a higher power, a creator and rely on our leaders, their agents and their drugs as our God. We are losing our rights to live as free human beings under the guise of doing it “for the children” and all the time the foundations that children so desperately need are being stripped away. Children need boundaries and safety, how can there be either when a stranger can enter their personal space and take them away or assume authority over the home or enforce use of mind altering medications? With all the discussion of children´s rights are our leaders considering the children´s rights when forcing them to take pharmaceuticals?
Once again I find myself leaning towards the ideas of the conspiracy theorists and believe there is merit to the opinion that the American family is being destroyed, not just by the bills and the proposals I listed above, but through a myriad of avenues. As I read the headlines and see the atrocities that young people are perpetrating upon their peers and society at large, I see one more example of the tearing down of family, morals, faith, respect and decency in our country. And I have learned that when our leaders introduce a new plan to help us we must consider that the opposite of what they are saying is true. The war on drugs was a way to sell pharmaceuticals, the war on terror was a way to terrorize and control Americans and programs developed to help the children and their parents are anything but help.
I will close with the words of Hitler, “He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.”
