When I last visited Muskegon, when we met, my brother and I went to the Air Show to watch the Blue Angels.....and the others. While we were leaving, heading out to find the car parked in a field of cars and in a crowd, the Number 7 Angel did a low level pass coming up from behind. I sensed it, since I'd been around aircraft and these hot-dogs, and turned my brother around just before the 7 made the pass. He ducked...the jet roar passing over gave him a start. Told him when they come in from behind, you don't really hear them coming; even at subsonic the sound lags behind.
Watched the Black Bird land at Kadena too......touch down and straight to the hanger. No peeking.

Interesting.
In the early 70’s a close military friend of mine had been to Okinawa TDY . . . and managed to snap a pic of a blackbird and get away with it. He was a cheeky sort of guy.
Once cussed a stupid General out on a com-line—the General had made some very stupid decisions about the comm set-up . . . and my friend got away with it.

Jack, next time you come to visit your brother be sure to give me a call. I'll meet you again for a beer or two.
My new wife may join us and have a beer too. She'll be legal next month.
