Bring Mika The Head of John Gibson By Mark Finkelstein | January 24, 2008 - 10:29 ET
The woman who got her big break on network TV thanks to the firing of Don Imus apparently now wants another host to lose his job over some tasteless remarks.
Morning Joe is the show that took over MSNBC's early-morning time slot after Imus was bounced for his offensive observations about the Rutgers women's basketball team. Mika Brzezinski, a regular member of the Morning Joe crew, has now left little doubt that she would like to see John Gibson fired for his callous comments about the death of actor Heath Ledger.

I saw this this morning. I could not believe how they went on and on over Gibson’s remarks which I thought were, at their worst, kind of boring and unfocused.
But Mika, who I am sure practices those smarmy facial expresions in the mirror, pretended to be beyond offended.
The whole thing was ridiculous.
I am sure Fox is going to put a lot of importance of what Mika says.
Mika wants Gibson to go. Ping to Today show list.
Well, Gibson IS a nasty little chipmunk.
What about that dead intern found in Joe’s office. Yet....
Isn’t this the show that had the girl on that called our President a monkey and did nothing?
Looking on the bright side, I guess they didn’t hire her for her looks. But since when do the dim bulbs at MSNBC, with all 8 of their viewers, get to tell Fox who to hire or fire?
Caught Mika today going on & on ad nauseum. There is something about her that I can't stand. Maybe it's how she tries to get into the camera when it's on Joe. Always posing. It's so uncomfortable to watch, esp when they were on remotes from the campaign trail. Joe....get her outta your space....she's a camera HOG!!!
Put her on the other side of the table like the guys.
Mika, I know you are hitting that refresh button to read this, both you and Joe.
Dan Abrams was in a lather about this also on his show last night.
MSNBC obviously has determined that knocking FOX is key to avoiding bankruptcy.
Confucius says: Calling a thing by its right name is the beginning of wisdom.
Whenever one of these overpaid, overindulged, photogenic bimbos fouls up his/her meaningless existence with drugs, bedhopping, suicide attempts, etc.... I always think of the millions and millions of clean living and hardworking people who will never, ever see anything like the privilege and wealth these clowns enjoy without ever having done anything to deserve or earn it, I have to laugh ... yes Gibson expressed what a lot of us think out here.
MSNBC is getting even more loud about Fox because Fox is going after MSNBC’s audience: liberals.
Al Sharpton can say anything. Alan Colmes can accuse guests of things they didn't say or do and when they try to defend themselves he interrupts. However, that is acceptable behavior, even on Fox News muchless the rest of the media.
John Gibson is paid to be politically incorrect. Firing him for that would make his career and help sell any new books he would write. (Alot more people know Imus than John Gibson.) He's old enough to retire and be a hero to the forgotten Americans who can't say what they are thinking.
Go, John, Go. 90% of the time, what he says is "right on"!
How much time did they spend offended by ESPN anchorwoman Dana Jacobson rant?
What is it Gibson said that got everyone’s panties all twisted?
and who the he*l is froth-at-the-mouth Joe to comment on anyone else’s remarks? His brain/mouth is certifiable
That was no "girl"...that was Erin Burnett, morning anchor on CNBC. She's been quite popular since she smugly referred to President Bush as a "monkey" with appearances on Letterman as well as others.
I lost any respect I had for her after that comment.
Dan Abrahms is a VILE, Evil, mean little TWIT.
A little bit of irony is that John Gibson use to be a MSNBC host.
Phony people on phony TV.
