“Doesn’t matter to those suffering from RDS (Romney Derangement Syndrome). They’ll continue to litter Romney threads with this stuff...”

How dare us underlings question the Great and Mighty Willard about his conversion to conservatism just before he announced his candidacy.... and for some issues like immigration, after?

Past records are meaningless, right!

Just remember that when you want to talk about what Hillary did in the 90s.

“Mitt is our guy now.”

OUR guy? Please speak for yourself.

Yeah, I agree. rface's post was out of line.

Fred already said he isn't endorsing anyone, but that won't keep the conspiracy theorists among the Romney camp from beating a dead horse.

The Poll doesn’t list Ron Paul. With all the talk about the mainstream media’s blackout of Duncan Hunter, seems Free Republic would do everything they could to at least MENTION all the Republican Candidates.

You answered your own comment.

Ditto. Being smug will not increase Mitt’s holdings.

Well, people are still free to vote 3rd party, or write-in, or stay at home. I don’t agree with any of those choices but I recognize that some people are going to make them.

So I don’t think the menu analogy works.

An election is not a dinner party.

Same districts that tried to give us David Duke.

Exactly. These fliparoos are going gaga over their pretty face RINO and no amount of facts are gonna change that. Remember, Flip is a “life long conservative” because he SAYS so. /S

Oops, forgot the rule.

Care to explain why you think Fred's going to endorse McCain if he hasn't already?

Not if you look at member opinion. He is below Hunter and Mitt for the member choice.

The poll you quote is titled “(12/12) Which GOP presidential hopeful did the best job of advancing his chances in today’s debate?” not “(1/22) With FRed dropping out, who do you now support for the Republican nomination?”

You must be a Ron Paul supporter. Truth, honesty and reality has no meaning to them.

Indeed.

I am glad that most Romney backers are being gracious. They realize they won by default, not on the strength of their arguments. If that was the case they would have won a few months ago and been the majority here at that point.

Winning by forfeit and being a$$es about it does little for me.

You’re going to believe Carl Cameron? Like the rest of Fox News, he was declaring Fred’s campaign dead from the getgo, and doing his best to ignore it or to mischaracterize it whenever he was forced to mention it. No agenda there (sarc).

Fred is 65. Even if he’s Veep, he’ll be too old in eight years to run for President. Look how doddering McCain looks. He’s too old and sick to hold up over nine months of a vigorous campaign, not that that will stop him. McCain is all about McCain, and he’ll put himself in a coffin trying to win.

Young guys run in order to set themselves up to be Veep. Older guys know this is their last chance. Fred was running to win, no conspiracy about it. He didn’t make it, and we’re all worse off for it.

Smug?

Try looking at the tired post I was responding to.

Look again at your quote: “Give it a rest.”

Truly, there is a lack of options on the Repub side...The only way to feel dirtier than voting for democrat-lite is to vote democrat.

.

Because Fred and McCain and good friends...and they both have respect for each other....and because this theory has been tossed around by the MSM.

Maybe I am wrong - but there are some reasons to think it will happen.

“Not if you look at member opinion. He is below Hunter and Mitt for the member choice.”

I’ve started to see a trickle of people start saying in threads that they are going to support Paul because he is the only candidate left who supports the concept of small government.

Better go find some more selective quotes to take out of context to scare them back into the RINO fold!

Hey, if you can’t find any, you could always just make some up. Never know, someone might actually believe your.

Is anybody else getting just about sick to death of not having anything to base a vote on but fear of the alternative?
