Brokaw: My Most Conservative Friend Might Vote for Hillary
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 01/23/2008 6:25:59 AM PST by governsleastgovernsbest

Tom Brokaw says his most conservative friend has told him he might vote for Hillary Clinton. I for one believe the former NBC News anchor. Hillary supporters might indeed constitute the rightward fringe of his friend set.

The revelation occured on today's Morning Joe.

His most conservative friend is probably Walter Cronkite.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn’t the most conservative things a person could do with regard to Hillary be to make a formal complaint to the Arkansas Bar Association about the comment she made about B. Hussein Obama representing someone? Doesn’t the Code of Ethical Conduct for attorneys (even in Arkansas) require attorneys from refraining from making statements that imply some people are not entitled to representation as she did with respect to Mr. Rezko?

Brokaw’s most conseravtive friends are Trotskyites, his liberal friends are Stalinists.

I have a very liberal colleague at work who told me he will vote for John McCain over Hillary Clinton if it is McCain Vs Hillary Clinton, he simply cannot stand her.

Tom Brokaw was probably referring to his friend, John McCain.

Ha. That's a good one! After all these years in the Senate, McCain knows his place. If he's the nominee Hillary will put him there, just like she's putting Obama in his.

"Conservative What? No real conservative in their right mind would vote for Hillary."

Nor for Joe Isuzu Romney.

IOW, the checked pants, country club “blue hair” republicans that worship portraits of Nelson Rockefeller hung up in the lounge at The Club. The type of “republicans” that are dammed uncomfortable sharing a party with those mouth breathing church goers that live in places like Oklahoma (where all of our gas holdings are, Muffie).

Simply put, Democrats that care enough about the capital gains tax rate to vote GOP more than half the time. The kind of “Republicans” that like Julie-Annie and “Biff” Romney.

Don’t think I buy it either, but it presents an interesting question:

Would it be better to try and shock the country now by showing it how bad things can get...rather than marching there incrementally behind a herd of RINOs?

” I believe it’s time to start a new third party.”

I believe you are correct. I’m with you on that.

I last voted democratic for Jimmy Carter, But if McCain becomes nominee of the party I will vote Democrat because McCain has hurt the conservative movement more than any other Republican. Can you image what liberals ideas would become law if he became president? At least Hillary would have the Republicans in congress fighting her and not making McCain legislation go though which could kill the conservative movement for decades.

I’m a radical conservative but if McCain wins say goodbye to the Conservative movement for decades. Plus the politicians who back that phony would increase.

My prediction is that’s exactly what’s gonna happen.
