I'd say a sane voice. Some of it was not only spam but troofer type spam. What you were pushing is the most disgusting filth that I have ever seen in print. I feel dirty just having read it. The guy who wrote John McCain – Warts and Lll is a liar and a slime merchant. He doesn't even have the balls to make a direct statement. It's all inference and association. He wants us to “use our imagination” as to why McCain's former wife supports him, the inference being that she is under some sort of threat. This piece is full of this kind of “use your imagination here” . Somehow skimming profits from a business in 1946 is part of a plot to make John McCain President?

Let me set you straight. At no time was the Arizona Republican Party EVER controlled by organized crime, Kemper Marley or anyone else. Period. At no time was the Arizona Democratic Party controlled by organized crime, Kemper Marley or anyone else. Period. That is as big a lie as you can make up. Dennis DeConcini had mob connections, mainly financing some shady land deals but that is the extent of it

To be specific and counter the allegations:

Barry Goldwater was not controlled by organized crime.
Morris Udall was not controlled by organized crime.
Sam Steiger was not controlled by organized crime.
Jack Williams was not controlled by organized crime.
Paul Fannin was not controlled by organized crime.
Harry Rosensweig was not controlled by organized crime.
Carl Hayden was not controlled by organized crime.
John Rhodes was not controlled by organized crime.
Fife Symington was not controlled by organized crime.
John McCain was not controlled by organized crime.
William Rehnquist was not controlled by organized crime.

Kemper Marley was a fringe player in Arizona politics at best. He didn't control the state or anything else.

What does it boil down to? A Birthday card to a mob figure unconnected to Kemper Marley. McCain was seen with two Emprise executives. Murder? Azscam? Payoffs? Not even in the most fetid fever swamps of the left would this fly. This is pure unadulterated insanity. It makes the troofers look good.

You pointed out that one of my links was a screwball article three weeks ago. I removed it immediately. I told you then if you had a problem with any other specific article to tell me about it. Why did it take you three weeks to do that?

The list of links is on my profile page if anyone else wants to look it over. There are 54 links there now. Three are videos of McCain speaking. One is a thread by JimRob. Most are articles written by respected conservative writers and published by respected conservative publications. So far you can only point to two articles you have problems with. Apparently you are nuckin' futs. Like McCain.

As far as the AZ Republican Party never being corrupt? Numerous AZ FReepers disagree.

"John McCain, Warts and All" stays. You had to skip over half the article to find something you could disagree with. The first paragraph analyzes the primaries of 2000 and comes to the same conclusions FReepers have about the problems with open primaries in 2008.

The second part deals with McCain's open hostility to the families of POWs. That is well documented elsewhere and this author is not trying to establish a case that has already been made.

He (McCain) has referred to POW/MIA families as "whiners and vultures, and lunatic fringe."

McCain did say that and lots worse screaming at the wives of MIAs/POWs.

All of the article is simply a recounting of known and verified reports of McCain's history. The author doesn't appear to be interjecting personal opinion at all.

That is nowhere in the article that I can see. You just made that up to smear the author. It's a good article.
