Hard to develop a lot of sympathy here. I will concede, he had a tough life (masseuse and all...)

So sad. He was actually one of the better of the young actors, Brokeback Mountain notwithstanding.

I was in a streetside (outdoor) bar on 7th avenue with some friends in the west village last summer when he strolled by. He looked like he had this coming.

God rest his soul. He was a talented 28 year-old with a young daughter. Some people really are tasteless around here.

I often wondered how warped the Brokeback Mountain fling would effect his mind. He ran to his girlfriend right after and had a kid. But, as we are all told, what a Love Story it was . . .

Sad ...he showed real promise as the wonderful son in "The Patriot," then he seemed to choose roles for their controversy and "fringiness."

Thanks, looked for the posting but couldn’t find it, quite a few responses on other post (250 plus) to what I would call a shock and very unfortunate.

Too many boys and not enough men. They hear a two-year-old girl lost her dad and their first response is to laugh at her. I feel like I'm on DailyKos.

Believe me, I am saddened by this - such a shame. But you can’t help but conclude that his Brokeback Mountain experience escalated his despair!

Eternal rest grant unto him.
May perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
