Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.

Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

The only reason to bash Romney is to bash Romney. So stop suggestion there's a motive behind bashing Romney.

All remaining candidates suck. The bashing will continue on all of them, at least on my part.

Or were we just setting ourselves up for a “the American voters suck tantrum”.

The American voters DO suck, and are a bunch of morons. I mentioned to someone earlier that all because we hang out on political forums in which most of the participants are well above average intelligence, the fact that the average person is a dope is not negated. Look at these phonies Americans chose over Fred. People are stupid.

Either one is better than Hilliary..

How is a liberal socialist Republican any better than a liberal socialist Democrat? I await with baited breath your response...

Until Reagan's second term I had voted for the lesser of two evils in every election

I've done this for over 20 years now since Reagan left office. What has it accomplished? The GOP has continued to slide left. I now know that when you vote for the lesser of 2 evils you still get evil PLUS a party that becomes increasingly like the Democrats you're voting against. As we continue to vote 'for the lesser of 2 evils' you will soon not be able to tell the difference between the two parties. In fact I think we're already there so the lesser of 2 evils is so much crap its not worth responding to.

I'm really getting tired of people threatening not to vote

Who said anything about not voting? I'm haven't missed an election since I was old enough to vote and not likely to start now.....

“Romney said Fred would be a great VP.”

Got a link?
_______________________________________________________

You dont need a link....

If Romney said that, it was just a ploy to get traumatized FRedHeads in Florida to vote for him on the rebound...

He didnt officially announce that FRed was his choice for running mate...

Romney will say anything and do anything and pay anything to be elected...

You honestly think that Romney would be worse than Hillary??
Lord help us all.

That is mainly because Nana objects to the Mormon faith. Right, Nana?

You know what is really interesting. I have been out a while today and asked people about this 2008 election. They have all said basically the same thing. And these are democrats as well as republicans.

They don’t want any of them. And they all agree they are sick of having to vote for pre-selected candidates.

Check the RomneyTruthFile. It contains the facts on him.

Trying to sell Romney to conservatives is like trying to convince them that you can pick up a turd by the clean end!

It ain't happening.

I think I’ll start a Hunter write in movement. ;o)

Actually, he is probably on a fair number of state ballots already, so he won’t have to ‘written in’

He was and is.

Relatively, yeah, more 'electable' than Hunter. But is he electable? No.

The irony is in 'electability' as part of a sales pitch to bring supporters of a 1% candidate to a 10% candidate.

“Why do you remain a loyal republican? What has that party done for you lately, if anything?”

You have to ask?
Who stopped that amnesty bill? Republican votes, including our Senator Cornyn.
Who gave us the Bush tax cut? Republicans.
Who is voting right on the GWOT? Republicans.
Who has the right ideas to fix American manufacturers?
A Republican, his name is Mitt Romney.
http://www.mittromney.com/News/Speeches/DEC_2008
Who is standing against the awful idea of CO2 caps, including McCain-Lieberman? Republicans. Our President. Mitt Romney.

Who is right on immigration? Republicans. Tancredo. Hunter. my Rep, Smith. Others. And now Romney and others signed on to it.

Who is stopping the earmarks? Republicans in Congress, NOW.

I could go on and on. Republicans are doing good things for us at State level too. Like when the Republican AG defended the 10 commandments at our statehouse grounds successfully in the SCOTUS. When they delivered on property tax relief, when they balanced the budget in 2002 without tax increases, when they passed concealed carry and last term passed the Castle doctrine. And so it goes.

But “more electable” IS a relative term.

It is in-fighting that makes a President Hilary possible.

Nope, its republicans voting for liberal candidates WITHIN the republican party over conservative candidates that makes a President Hilary possible.
