Sex education should be about the biology, not a “how to” course. Abstinence only became a factor when the courses went beyond biology.

Personally I think we are going about it the wrong way. Sex education in schools should be discontinued altogether. It is none of the states business how our children are educated in sex matters. That is for the parents to decide, schools, and other government agencies, should mind their own business and stay out of ours!

Given how much interactive teacher/pupil sex is going on under the mantel of government education, isn’t it time to forbid these supposed adults fulfilling their fantasies upon our children.

Reason number 6,570 to send your kids to parochial school.

I agree, having taught a sex education class in a fifth grade class in Colorado, sex education is taught only a study on the reproductive system, not as a morals class. The Reproductive system is just another system of the body, such as the Circulatory system, the Digestive System, The Skeletal System, etc.

Teach biology. If taught properly, children will figure out how to prevent sperm and egg from uniting. There’s too many other important things to teach.

I’ll date myself by saying S Ed was a new concept when I was high school. It was a bit embarrassing but the science teacher handled it well as a straight anatomy and biology discussion over the course of a couple weeks.

IMO anything beyond that is harassment.

Homeschool. Even with private schools unless you know every teacher and what that teacher’s spin is going to be, you can’t be sure.

So true, thus, what they teach in the Public schools shouldn’t even be of concern; let the degenerate secularists prosteletyze and corrupt offspring of the degenerate secularists as they see fit. Death is the wages of sin and their degeneracy will be their own undoing.

I am pretty sure what the nuns’ spin is on pre-marital sex. You obviously are unfamiliar with how parochial schools work. Teachers don’t get to choose what to teach and how to teach. There is a “party line” and everyone sticks to it.
I also remember the truly hideous and frightening slide show they used that was enough to put you off sex well into your 40s.

Ok, I’ve heard some very different stories from people who’ve been through parochial schools. I think it depends on where you are. And of course they are hardly run exclusively by nuns any more. I personally consider homeschooling a superior choice but private or parochial schools are better than the government system.

Sex education should be about the bad parts to having sex when young.

The only up part is how it may feel.

The down part... well, there’s plenty of those. What 15 year old wants to take care of a baby? She just wants to get drunk and continue to do as many guys as she can.
