The American Debate: Bailing on Clinton?

There once was a time when the Clintons were demigods in the black community. I can recall, back when I was canvassing folks in South Carolina a few years ago, how the mere mention of the family name made them swoon. Pastor Joe Darby raved about Bill's "wonnnnn-derful touch." Anthony Dicks, an embalmer in a funeral home, smiled rapturously and said, "He gave me a warm feeling all over."
Bill and Hillary had probably assumed that the love for him could be seamlessly transferred to her...
We'll soon learn whether blacks are bailing on the Clintons for real. South Carolina Democrats will stage their primary next Saturday, and blacks are expected to compose half of the turnout. Blacks will be roughly half of the voters in Georgia on Feb. 5, and in Louisiana on Feb. 9; roughly one-third of the voters in Alabama on Feb. 5, and in Virginia and Maryland on Feb. 12; and roughly one-fifth of the voters in New York on Feb. 5.
Black Democrats in Michigan, however, have already sent the Clintons a worrisome message. The Democratic primary was meaningless: No delegates were at stake, and Hillary was the only major contender listed on the ballot. But it's worth noting that roughly 70 percent of black voters in Michigan chose "uncommitted" over Hillary. And CNN exit polls determined that, if Obama had been on the ballot, he would have swamped Hillary among black voters by a ratio exceeding 3-1.
In South Carolina: Obama, 64 percent; Hillary, 20 percent. This despite the fact that Bill and Hillary have been assiduously working the local black leaders, to the point of giving one leader a $200,000 public relations contract in exchange for his endorsement.

All you need to do to bypass "campaign finance" oversight, is to simply have somebody to pair off potential large donors with "local leaders" in need of "walking around money". The money is never legally received by the campaign, the "leader" gets his money, the campaign gets its endorsement, and everybody is happy

The NEW minority is the Hispanic vote. Only by threatening to vote for the Republican nominee cane prevent the blacks from taking a back seat to the growing numbers of Hispanics. BUT they won’t do that because they so bitterly resent the Southern Strategy of 1972. Bush tried to court the Huispanic vote, but that blew up because of the border issue.
The GOP could nominate a black Presidential candidate, and most black voters still would vote for the Democrat.

I don't remember hearing that term before. I just looked it up. That explains what's behind the story that I've always been told: that the white southern Dems of the old days switched over to the GOP later.
It will be interesting to see what happens if/when Clinton wins the nomination over Obama.
It means, "I would rather be ANYWHERE else except here, right now."
The massive black support for Obama shows who the true racists are these days. Obama has no connection whatsoever with American blacks. None of his ancestors were ever slaves, his white ancestors were slaveowners, and his Muslim ancestors in Africa were likely slaveowners as well. Yet because he LOOKS like them, blacks are supporting him 5 to 1 over Clinton. Who are the racists?
Pandering to hispanics on the border issue did not win Bush any new friends. Hispanic citizens in general suffer the most from the illegal problem and want them out, while the sort of hispanics in favor of open borders would never vote for a republican anyway. There was nobody at the “Si, se pude” rallies saying they would love El Jorge if he gave them the sun, moon and stars.
What I’m wondering is if Hillary will have the guts to openly dump the blacks as being of no further use and openly switch her allegiance to the other tribe.
Democrats are reaching the point where they can no longer pretend to pander to both. I firmly believe those Nevada casino workers (who are almost universally hispanic, in case you haven’t been round’ there recently) would sooner elect Caligula’s horse than a black candidate, whatever their union says, and cast their ballots for Hillary.
Blacks liked Bill Clinton for the same reason a lot of other people liked Bill Clinton. He came from humble beginnings, he had and has an affable everyman act that made his pandering almost transparent if you didn’t want to see it, and this well meaning horndog was being kept down by ‘the man’ - admirably played by our septuagenarian blowhards in the Senate.
Hillary doesn’t have any of that beyond the last name. She isn’t different from Bill - or Edwards or Osama or any of the others - to matter on a policy level. But on a personal level she can’t play ‘one of our own held down by the man’, because she’s a rich, ice cold witch with a shrill voice in a pants suit. People look at her and they see ‘the man’ himself.
Such as Michael Steele?
Not too many to choose from, are there? Steele, Powell, JC Watts, Alan Keyes...
Can’t think of anyone else.
Is that even legal? Oh, I forgot--it's the Clintons.
The Bush administration gave a $240,000 public relations contract to Armstrong Williams to promote No Child left Behind. That was taxpayer money.
Of course that wasn't directly associated with a primary election or a particular candidate, but it does seem like there are similarities between the two.

Apparently blacks were pretty happy about the economy and the consequent jobs that came their way during the Clinton Administration.
Well, of course SC will go Obama. Blacks make up way more than 50% of Democrats. And many Democrats have already voted in the Repub primary—how McCain won. You can vote in either primary, but you can only vote in one.
And that was just the first, yep second....a minute? Think of the failure option....it cannot go compute or it goes compote, but that would be only the first act. Lord, help us, if a second act happens. And that act is yet to be played.....and there stares failure, but only as an option at this point. Second act to follow.....
Conservatism....under bath watch? Coalition, Conciliation, a dream? Convention yet to follow....Stay tuned?
What a nightmare......
And yet there will be a second act....and more to follow, Lord help us, there is (a word) going to be a second act. How? Lord, and please help America and her Allies, as the point draws ever upon a moment, and questions, as to how peace breaks out in the world?
Some acts to follow can surprise every and one, single, married, bum, and king alike? Never? And last but not least....A prayer for all of us, and I keep reminding myself to not fall asleep. And then admonish myself because I allow myself so little, but then New Year's resolutions have to be adhered to.....or the same will be the same, will be the same, will be the same....but then everyone knew what, and who, yet when? and where? continued to remain elusive. Only cornered two out of four, not good odds.
And then the saga continued.....and none knew the end....
Yep, looks like none were caught. And the nightmare continues, to play, act 1, hang on, second act coming our way....and the ride...and the ride....continues....Who is at the wheel? Is is the question? The road is flat, the road is straight, Hillarious keeps urging the driver to go faster, and Hussein may want more than the Hillarious is offering, the fight, there's a fight ... is the question....Me and all of us, we're just passengers...in the car...can anyone tell me....how far ahead the cliff is?
And there's a second act? Geez....
And here I have to go again, and compromise....and still have to drive toward the cliff? Hey....don't look at me....I'm simply an unwilling passenger. I do not want to drive.....
And that was shortly before someone put a weapon to my side and said, "Drive". That's the kind of day it has been....and then it is on to Abraham, Martin, and John?
Anyone get the ID of the person writing the script....How come each person here on, our planet, our Allies, America gets a piece of the script? Guess, it would have to be one of those follow...not lead moments.
But no worry, our own solar system has riches galore...Simple problem. How does our planet mine them? And God said, Test! Let there be TEST?

Pardon me, I gonna be quiet now. Capitalists...accused of selling their own rope....their next trick will be to see if those who are against us, can cause, or somehow force us to tie the knot....and that's impossible....Capitalists may be capitalists, but when it comes to a little more than rope...there is a fairly good reign. And any water at this point is welcome. Praising God, for all successes. Gotta win one for the Gipper! America.
So everyone, you'all know what to do. And if you don't know what to do... Don't worry, I don't either! Script looks set in stone! And now I am relegated to passenger status. I don't want to look out the window and report, there's big ugly things out there... and that's before November. With a load of iron ore, did anyone get the wait....there's another Memo.
This one looks better, really, honest, and truly.... I have given and it will be giving again... and then...Lord, if you have a Memo out there, for a way to go....Looks like, there would be more....And the Lord said, Quiet! all plays out in time....and more, more, more, more time till November.....but if I were about to say or lament....I would have to digress....cause dummies should be read, not heard....
Another tag, another possible... anyone keeping tabs? Yep, the soft-drink....Why do I feel like a stiffer drink? Yep, GO...go exercise....fall over dead from a heart attack, go busting over to the other side, break on through....
Act Two....Settle in Folks....More Ride. Do we have a navigator on board? How many now in the Car? or Bandwagon? Like I said, Settle in.....Be Prepared. And there is no stiff drink going to be able to compete with this reality, or not....and never is never a question to which failure is opted as an option. Go Win America! America Can and Will! Why am I always left with choosing a dog for a fight? and peace is going to break out....and peace is going to break out....I know....there I go dreaming again.
America is still here....and anything I could say would diminished what, where, how the enemy knows at this point, our enemies are looking and observing, and our enemies have every reason to say, you (mohammad) want me to defeat that...and some could answer the call (of their hammad) or could choose to eat some ham instead. It may calm them down. I eat some ham (not here lately) but I do (I must have ham) for man cannot live without some ham. Ham does things to your body and mind...and gives one strength, but without ham, I could be no part of the swine... and swine ... and instead mohammad swore no ham....well if he wasn't counting on ham....how come he decided his name couldn't be without it....ham.
These questions ... plaguing (don't say that word) and now we're talking epidemic....

Another waste in futility....but what say, the fans, and I too am a fan, so onto the upcoming, the future, to the next point, or the next next, this is what America lives and breathes for....now....is.....and those who would think America weak, I simply don't have the words to waste on them. America is that shinning light the world hates. Our Allies, equally hated. Why, is not the question....What our enemy is willing to do...is not the question....Where....How often....unknowns....Who, when asked, makes me laugh.....so America is holding on to knowns three out of four....better odds....instead of the two out of four for the general population....or did all the critics find themselves out of doom and gloom? Where and When look to be always in play....so now the odds, as always were nearly 50 / 50? but then even the most meager of diplomacy would be considered suspect....as most quite probably is.
So when the time comes, abolish the Pentagon first along with America's Military. Now think.....Could that happen?
NO! and that's one point America and America's Allies continue to force feed down the throats of America's enemies. A Hearty Thank You to our young Men and Women of our Armed Forces....You People are America! God Bless You!
