my post was hardly a temper tantrum. I truly want to see conservative leadership. I just don't think that enough of our fellow citizens bothers to think enough to see the danger of the direction we are heading. And if we continue to pursue socialist policies with Republicans at the helm, the great unwashed masses will have even more fodder to support our enemies, the Democrats. The result may be that we go so far left that we are unable to ever get back on the Federalist path.

I am not optimistic about the economy. I believe we may well be headed into a serious recession. While Hoover didn't cause the depression, the fact that he was a Republican bought us 16 years of Democrat Presidents. That was the basis of my comment re Carter/Reagan. To achieve the best long term result, we may benefit by losing a battle or two. Don't think the possibility doesn't scare the crap out of me though.

Consider the impact of (at least) four years of Clinton or Obama appointments to the entrenched bureaucracy, plus the court systems. Devastating. Simply devastating. Please remember that no matter how bad things are made by a Dem. admin., the press will lay the blame elsewhere, or disguise reality. We have to hold the line as well as we can, and move it when we can. If we leave the field of battle now, there may be nothing to return to but ruins.

DON’T STOP FIGHTING FOR WHAT YOU KNOW IS RIGHT!!!!
