WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE? (DEFEAT MCCAIN)
1/20/08 | Self

Posted on 01/20/2008 5:04:20 AM PST by Nextrush

I said go for Fred in South Carolina because I wanted to give Thompson a chance to mix this race up.

But Fred fell short now and the main concern of mine is to beat McCain.

There's a media orgasm-coronation going on right now and we have to have straight heads to stop it.

Lets not infight and let trolls lead us atray.

Here's a serious look at how to defeat a man who's a virtual Democrat and a traitor to the conservative cause in this country.

McCain-Feingold made the First Amendment into toilet paper.

The law was designed to protect incumbent politicians by keeping little candidates from getting outside support to defeat entrenched politicians.

And we all have a list of what McCain has done to help Democrats and hurt Conservatives from the Gang of Fourteen on down.

Straight heads must prevail at this point.

I've heard two guys on two different networks (David Gergen on CNN, Bill Sammon of the "Washington Examiner" on Fox News) point out that Thompson is a "friend" of McCain. Sammon suggested Fred will endorse McCain.

That should settle the issue I brought up some weeks ago about Fred being a McCain front if it pans out.

Fred can't do much if he stays in right now but hold Tennessee which if he wants to run there on February 5th makes me happy enough.

McCain must be defeated by tactical voting.

I only hope Giuliani doesn't collapse from the media wave before we reach New York on February 5th. Its a winner take all primary and the only candidate who can take out McCain there is Rudy.

In New York and New Jersey on February 5th, I'm certain Rudy is the anti-McCain vote to defeat him there. You have to vote Rudy there to stamp out the McCain Mutiny.

Romney will contest Florida so vote for him there on the 29th to stop McCain.

Huckabee at least campaigned against McCain in the last few days in South Carolina.

The return the illegals pledge he signed along with on-air (MSNBC) criticism of McCain-Feingold I saw was clearly aimed at McCain.

But yes Huckabee always says nice things about McCain.

Maybe that's just his style.

If Huckabee is a shill for McCain, lets make Huck prove it by giving him wins and delegates in states where he is strongest. On February 5th, that will be Oklahoma, Alabama and or course Arkansas.

Back to Romney, he's the obvious choice in Utah, Colorado and Massachusetts on February 5th.

Romney should probably contest Missouri so you know who to vote for there.

Wouldn't it be nice if the native son of Missouri who's name inspired mine finally came out of the closet for Romney?

Is he fiddlin around while the Republican Party burns?

Emporer McCain and his media buddies are torching the place right now.

Focus your vote in the next few weeks on the strongest possible candidate in your state to defeat McCain.

Its straight heads time and I won't attack Huck, Romney or Rudy at this point because I'm not in the McCain helping business.

The grim task is to knock McCain down so hopefully a conservative alternative can rise up (that would probably be Romney). (ALL CRITICS CAN SHUT UP AT THIS POINT BECAUSE YOU ONLY HELP MCCAIN BY TRASHING ROMNEY)

But I will accept the other two as alternatives.

Get real, don't let the beltway crowd steal the Republican Party away from us.

THE ESTABLISHMENT CANDIDATE IS MCCAIN.

Guys like former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and Alexander Haig, the Rockefeller Republicans are in the McCain camp.

Also President Bush's friend, former Homeland Security Secretary and PA Governor Tom Ridge is on the McCain bandwagon.

On Friday, by the way, Ridge called "waterboarding torture. That echoes the McCain position of course.

Any open borders candidate is a traitor...

Julie-Annie and Hickabee can go to hell as well...

Someone winning 33 percent is one state is hardly a defining statement that someone should be a winner of it all.

Once again, How does that change the fact that he won SC? Deal with what we have NOW, please.

There is a very prominent idea around here, and it goes something like this:

“Such and such a pubbie does not agree with MY IDEA of conservatism ONE HUNDRED PERCENT therefore he’s a worthless, communist rino and I’d rather vote for Hillary”

It’s a pretty childish phenomenon.

And she will probably get elected because of it.

Rush has no problem with Romney. Why should you?

Rush has no problem with illegal drugs, why should you?

Rush has no problem with sex tourism, why should you?

One day we will understand why, against all odds, Rush likes Mitt Romney. Until that day, I will be sitting here scratching my head, it makes absolutely no sense.

I’m not a talk radio robot, but I can see the McCain personal record for what it is.

A bitter man who lost in 2000 sniping at the current president and his policies until last year, when his campaign for president now began in earnest.

From the tax cut in 2001 on down it was constant criticism.

I often call McCain a Bob Dole, though.

That means the party insiders may have promised him the nomination (after his 2000 loss) now maybe even the current president he’s sniped at for six years.

I can’t prove it but it seems like we are being Doled again.

Obviously those of us on FR are now in the minority and most of the Republicans are pleased with McCain. Therefore there remains a good chance the Dems still lose. Rather bittersweet to me.

It makes COMPLETE sense to me. Don't worry Rush will be getting your mind right on tomorrow's show.

Another Hillary/DNC wet dream. I have no patience for the whiners anymore. Take your dam ball and go home already.

First, Mc Cain will not win a National election.

That is the reason that the main stream media is encouraging and abetting his candidacy.

The fix is in for Hillary to be elected by.
1.The Country Club Republicans nominating a liberal candidate.
2. Having Ron Paul as the 2008 Ross Periot.

The moment Mc Cain or the liberal Republican still around [I believe that in the end it will be John Mc Cain because the Republican Hierarchy chose him in their back rooms long ago] is nominated as the Republican standard bearer they will be visously attacked by the same media that was praising them only moments before.

And i understand that polls say that John Mc Cain will wipe up the floor with Hillary but, If Mc Cain is the nominee get ready for the Wednesday morning after the first Tuestay in November for the media to be crowing as they anounce a Hillary win.

I grew up “politically” in the 1970’s and can see the bloodline that runs from Nelson Rockefeller all the way to John McCain.Huh? John McCain has nothing to do with Nelson Rockefeller. He's from Arizona and the US Navy. Geeze. Maybe you should be supporting Ron Paul! You sound like a Ron Paul supporter!!

The “surge” in Iraq for example, which McCain supports, is part of an overall strategy to start talking to nations in the region like Syria and Iran.Huh? The surge in Iraq is a military policy designed to break the resistance and corner Al Qaeda by isolating them. It has nothing to do with on-going discussions with Syria and Iraq.

You know as with North Korea the “Axis of Evil” is now being treated like the Soviets were in the Cold War.Hmm. That seemed to work out pretty well. I mean we won the cold war, didn't have a nuclear war. So as a model it seems pretty good.

Its a containment policy with secret understandings and behind the scenes negotiations. You say. Is this from Gary North's web site or something?

It does noting to stop the evil nations from secretly plotting and planning future actions like making missiles and nuclear bombs. It's a big world. There are lots of people who don't like the USA. I don't think we can stop evryone from secret plotting and planning. Hell the Soviets stated publically they were going to crush us, and they had a hell of a lot more missles (with Multiple Independently Targeted Nuclear Warheads) than the mad mullahs of Iran.

Those "Rockefeller Republicans" you speak so derisively of include Nixon, Kissinger, Ford, and others who helped the USA survive that era. I don't think they did THAT bad a job. But then I'm not a conspiracy minded paranoid, either.

The President who almost got us baked was JFK. A charismatic, Democrat who won election when GOP voters who had twice elected Ike didn't stand up for the party choice of Nixon. Bad call. We almost had a glowing Florida due to that bit if truculance. The Foreign Policy Establishment is ruling the roost in DC right nowWhat, exactly, does that mean? The Dems run Congress. Bush runs the executive branch. The Council on Foreign Relations runs seminars and publishes books.

... and wants to keep it that way with McCain.Even if true, so what? As you pointed out more Republians voted against McCain then for him in this big victory of his. If the FPE, as you call it, is so powerful they better get to work and steal some elections or something.

Please try to reconsider your fear of the 'foreign policy establishment' and Rockefeller, etc. You sound like you've read one too many Lyndon LaRouche pamphlets or something.

Things are, exactly as they seem. The GOP is divided. There are a lot of sub-groups in the big tent: Evangelicals, Value Voters, Free Trade Advocates, Libertarians, Westerners, Southerners, Mormons, Defense supporters, and yes even New Englanders. This year we have an open primary, and a bunch of good candidates, each particularly strong with one sub-group. It's going to take a while to boil all this down, but the people are deciding. Sadly the process favored independents and democrats a bit too much early on, in my opinion. (With cross voting permitted in both New Hampshire and Michigan.) But now we are into the guts of the thing and the majority of primaries are Republican Only. The Media has spectacularly FAILED to have their beloved "sweep" scenario happen. This is good. More states are going to have more say in the selection of the Republican nominee than any election in my lifetime. I don't see much to complain about in terms of the process. If the outcome has not yeilded "your perfect conservative' it is probably because he/she doens't exist or didn't want to run.

McCain is not the most conservative person in the race, but he is more conservative than Romney on any issue.

Voting AGAINST the tax breaks that saved our economy is conservative? Sponsoring McCain Feingold is conservative? Wanting open borders for illegals is conservative? Giving up classified information to the enemy is conservative? I think you have a different definition of conservative than I do.

*shrug*

My rights are already being taken away by a Bush administration.

"If I win I can't 't be stopped! If I lose I shall be dead." - The RINO Republican Party

If our country can't survive a liberal democrat, what makes you think it will survive a liberal republican?

The RINO republican party wants voters to believe that it is them vs Hillary. It's what gets them reelected.

And they do little more for us than the democrats.

We have to use our votes elsewhere or the RINOs believe they have a monoply on our votes -- they can do what they want.

Our republic will survive -- or it is not worth keeping.

He’s got his crazy fans.

AMEN

McKennedy is not a conservative and he is not the guy who can beat Hillary or Obama.

Romney is the most conservative of the real contenders. If the rank and file got behind him, we would win.

The bashing needs to stop.

Has the demoncrap party shifted so far to the left that the republicans can win without the conservatives?

No, the Republicans still can't win without the conservatives.

However, since the people that you call "conservatives" are 15% of the Republican electorate AT MOST, they cannot nominate or elect one of their own, under any circumstances.

We've seen that they can prevent the election of any center-right candidate they choose.

What else can they do? Not much.
