Today is a sad day for America, and a sad day for me personally. A fantastic man, a patriot, a HERO, has dropped out of the presidential race. The political machine won.
So what is the future of this website? Do we have a future?

I agree with you that Hunter is a great man and great on the issues, but don't you think this is a tad much?

Hunter 2012? If so, it needs to start in January of ‘09 to build up enough momentum to get him noticed next time.

Ditto...it took great effort to get Hunter on the ballot here, and I will cast my primary vote for him. Beyond that, I cannot promise anything else for the RINO party.
Theres certainly nothing else left to vote FOR...just voting AGAINST from here on out for the remainder of the year.

100% behind Duncan Hunter in 2012! The Republicans are going to lose this election so we better start thinking ahead.

It’s the end of the world as we know it. Let’s look at the bright side...I think Hunter DID get 2% in Nevada...isn’t that twice as much as he got anywhere else?

Hunter has been speaking about the real issues that affect us now, winning the war, securing the border, level field in trade with China, etc.
The so called front runners still think it is 1955.

May I suggest that everyone who supported Duncan Hunter and can't find another presidential candidate look to the lower offices and put the same energy into good candidates for lower office? Is there a good candidate running for governor in your state? If so, volunteer in that campaign. If not governor, try a senator. If not a senator, try a House candidate. At even lower levels, candidates have a very hard time finding volunteers. If you are willing to knock on doors, make calls, and deliver signs, you could find a local campaign that would appreciate your help tremendously.
These campaigns are rarely focused on the national issues about which we care so much, but they are still important. If you can help a good person win a lower office, that person may be running for higher office in the future. That run sometimes starts with that first city council race.
Even if the candidate isn't important, your help in the race will cause people to notice you. The local party will appreciate your help. That doesn't mean that you can dictate policy to anyone after having helped in one campaign. However, you will develop influence over time. Someday, if you want to take a shot at an office yourself, you will have built some support. Maybe you will be the person who runs someday to do the things that you wanted Duncan Hunter to be able to do.

The political machine won.
Actually it was McCain who won with very little money and campaign that was dead just a few months ago.
Duncan lost because the voters rejected him. Accept that fact and act accordingly.
