Carlin. And maybe he never smiled, but I sure did!
She was a lovely woman...
Yes, she did. I finally saw that full movie for the first time about a month ago. I never even knew that Jessica Tandy was in it, too. I always loved her voice; such a smoky sound.
She looks like a tiny Linda Carter.
Very sad.
RIP Suzanne Pleshette.
She was the school Marm.
She was also in one of the James Garner movies...Think it was “Support your local sheriff”...
Suzanne and Tom had first dated in 1959! Married in 2001. Wedding photos and story here:

She was married to Troy for a very short time.
Pleshette, who underwent chemotherapy for lung cancer in 2006, died of respiratory failure Saturday evening at her Los Angeles home, said attorney and family friend Robert Finkelstein. She was 70.
I guess it's not so young for a smoker. My father who is now 75 is now paying the price for the 35 years he smoked, even though he hasn't smoked in over 23 years. He has rather diminished cardiovascular capacity.
So sorry to hear this news! I really liked her. She was a great actress. Prayers go out for her loved ones. May God comfort them in this difficult time.
Yea, great voice. I loved her when I was a kid. RIP Suzanne!
RIP, Suzanne! I so enjoyed her on the Bob Newhart show.
” Astronaut on I dream of Genie “
Bill Daily was his real name .
She was so pretty.
I was kind of thinking that, but didn’t want to take time to look it up - so just said that about the movies. She was so beautiful - and *adorable*!

I’m sorry, I am not addressing this post to the original posters, the hour is late.
I knew there was a “story” behind it, but wasn’t sure what it was. I remember when it was announced (in 2001), I was kinda shocked.
“She was also in one of the James Garner movies...Think it was Support your local sheriff...”
It was SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GUNFIGHTER... SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHERIFF! (which honestly is the far better movie) costarred the late Joan Hackett.
Very sad to hear of Pleshette’s death. I just saw a tabloid headline about her which said “last photo” when I was standing in line at the grocery store tonight. ...
It was less then a year. She rarely mentioned him if at all.
