I know he skipped NH & MI to get straight to SC, a state BTW where he should have won easily

What makes you think Fred should have won SC easily? He was competing against someone who got not just Republican votes, but those of Independents and Democrats who voted, as in some of the other states, with the express purpose of messing with the Republican primaries. He was also competing against someone who was accepted without question by some Christian voters, because he was a preacher.

I thought Fred might do better, and I'm sorry that he didn't, but it wasn't because he wasn't getting his message out there. Those who listened to him voted for him. Sadly, others in SC seem to have something other than conservatism in mind this year.

I hope he stays in, though, we still need his strong conservative voice needling the voters and the other candidates.

With Fred running behind all the other candidates at the moment when exactly does he win one? Or is this just more Go Fred Go?

Yep, it's more Go, Fred, GO. I hope to keep saying it for quite awhile. ;o)

He wanted to clean up the financing mess, and make the process of funding candidates more accessible to the average voter

Well I can understand his disgust with the corruption of government officials that monetary contributions to politicians by the vastly rich like Soros and by big corporations who practically buy and own their own politicians with huge contributions. But, the way the CFR bill goes about cleaning up the corruption is by denying freedom of speech to organizations like the NRA and many others while leaving the liberal media still able to spew their lies and propaganda without any penalty. The 1st Amendment speech clause was expressly designed to protect political speech, and if doesn't protect political speech it doesn't protect any kind of speech.

The truth is, the CFR was intended to keep elected officials in office and shut out challengers by cutting off their financing. Fred should have found a better way to take out his disgust with corrupted government than to throw in with the loony headcase McCain to get McCain-Feingold passed.

The longer he stays in the better it is for his good friend McCain. He needs to stay in to split the Republican and conservative vote so John can keep winning primaries by cornering the moderate and independents. I hope Fred is well rewarded if McCain should happen to win the WH.

Yeah. You and every other Fred Head. He didn’t do better because he’s not now, nor has he so far, been able to connect with voters. I’ll ask again. If Fred can’t finish better than distant 3rd, where can he possibly hope to win.
I think he’ll stay in to split the vote enough for McCain to advance.

Fred is needed now more than ever.

At least Huckamuck was denied a victory today.
Fred MUST keep it up.

I have a question: Who does the voting at a brokered convention? Is it the party insiders? If that’s the case, I don’t see them voting for Thompson. McCain would probably get their vote, I think.

“Do you think the Hunter supporters will support Fred ? and do you think Hunter will endorse Fred ?”

Yes I do believe that Duncan Hunter will endorse Fred if he endorses anyone. I also believe that the Hunter supporters will move to Fred. I also supported Hunter in the beginning and moved to Fred. I still hope for a Thompson/Hunter ticket. GO FRED!

Write them in.

Otherwise, the libs in the early primary states (by crossing over) get to enforce a RINO every time, and the pols have no way of realizing there's any desire for a conservative.

Cheers!
