Today is the day.
...depressingly correct. Bush has done more harm to the GOP in 8 years, really the last 4, than it usually takes generations. Fractured a party that had an identity of Reagan principles into one that looks like it is well on it’s way to nominating an unelectable RINO.
sad
Do you really think that Romney as a nominee could win MI? I had not heard that one before. Probably HRC would get a demented laugh out of that.
That would be some interesting Rapture, wouldn’t it? Of course, if those four went at once, the only people left on this Earth would be Richard Dawkins and the characters from South Park...
Thanks. The “poster” has posted more than one pic for FDT on this thread. Not really full of grace, huh?
I think long-lost Askel would agree. What if Reagan's people had told both Ford and Bush to take a hike? Phil Crane, anyone?
It may be too that the upcoming nominee will make Bob Dole look electable.
10 months ago the only guy that could beat Hillary in a national poll was Rudy G.
Does that tell all the “political stategersists” around here why it is utterly stupid to pick a candidate based solely on polling data 10 months before a General Election?
Novak just said he sees John Edwards staying in, collecting delegates, and then leveraging those delegate to become ATTORNEY GENERAL!!
I hope some pubbie consultant is noting THAT for a future ad against Hillary. I don’t think many Americans would relish that shyster as AG.
Very well could be, but the comment will definitely be your legacy on FReeRepublic!
Since McCain opposed the Bush judges via the Gang of 14 and there is a promise that if a pro-life candidate is not nominated by the Republicans, there will be a third party... do you think we might be headed for a third party if McCain is nominated?
...and believe it or not, that will either be Guilani or McCain, wouldn’t it? The thought just went through my mind, too.
It depends on what the biggest issue is for conservatives/Republicans in respective states.
Michigan it was the economy=Romney
Wyoming-Liked the Conservative tall dude
SC it is the WOT=McCain
Nevada voted for the Mormon “just because...”
Guiliani might sew up FL because there are so many transplanted NYers down there...and so it goes.
Agree.
Reagan chose GWB because he thought liberal Republicans, and there are legions of them too, would other vote for GA Jimmuh again.
Gee whiz. Last time McCain was reading from notes.
This time...could it be more evident he’s using screen...oh heck what do you call those things?!
So be it. I voted for him twice.
They think he will protect them from us youngsters wanting to actually be able to invest our social security rip-off cash. We are the enemy....
I disagree with your analysis because of one thing: The media has been mostly on SC. Romney’s win in Nevada was passed off as a fluke due to LDS voters. I suspect that McCain gets a bump in Florida, but I wonder if it will be enough to overtake the efforts by Giuliani to get his voters out early.
People over seventy probably think that McPain can better protect them from some dreadful danger.
