Today is the day.
“This is far from over, it is up to what Fred wants to do, the support is there to outlast the insanity if it ever ceases...”
Where exactly is this support you speak of?
If Fred can’t carry SC, a state BTW that would seem a perfect match for him, where exactly can he win? He’s got to be able to carry more than TN. If he went into the TN primary with no wins, I don’t think he would even carry that.
Agreed on your analysis...I am VERY surprised Thompson is coming in around 15%...I was thinking more like 22%...incredibly disappointing...magritte
Wolf is an idiot.
“Are you in FL? Did you vote yet? We have had very heavy voting over here. The whole WTA thing is up in the air a bit. It is a ruling of FLGOP and is revokable. I think the party leadership is in the tank for Rudy so we will see what happens, In any case, I hope if this is close FLGOP challenges the delegate haircut.”
I am in Florida, St. Pete. Will be voting this coming week so I will work my precinct on the 29th. Went to a REP Party meeting recently and the showing for Fred was very good. It was explained that FL will be a winner take all. Also that in the end, all the delegates will be seated at the convention. GO FRED!
I’m calling it for McCain. :-(
OMG, your gonna get flamed for that!
When I voted Monday, they told me it was very heavy turnout. Palm Beach County.
That's not a very nice thing to say. Are you wishing he have health problems? U.S. Army Retired |
Huckabee, Romney, and Thompson voters have split and let McCain take a seeming win.
However...their delegates could all hang together and take the convention to the second ballot and then make the fateful decision about who will be the nominee among them.
Mike Huckabee 67,239 29%
John McCain 76,270 33%
Mitt Romney 33,984 15%
Fred Thompson 37,140 16%
Rudy Guiliani 4,536 2%
Ron Paul 8,546 4%
Duncan Hunter 538 0%
Hugh Cort 33 0%
John Cox 40 0%
Cap Fendig 14 0%
Tom Tancredo 48 0%
Precincts Reporting - 1176 out of 2259 - 52%
H-M R T G P H C C F T? Not the same alphabet I know, LOL.
That being the military.
CNN dude says MSM has to now attack Romney’s business experience, Romney should drop out, is doomed, etc, etc
There’s not much reason to hope things will get better here, if post 2082 is any indication.
“Woud it raise your suspicions if McCain put Fred in a cabinet position or even selected him as his running mate? Dont you think Freds involvement in the race probably helped McCain by splitting up the social conservative vote? Who exactly had the most to gain? Ill give you a hint: its someone old and decrepit and turd-crazy with a penchant for saying the phrase my friends.”
No, it would not. Fred left the senate because he wanted to and if he was a power hungry beast, he would have stayed in. I’m sure he has plenty of money for a comfortable life. If he did take a post, that would be one more good man in government. Fred is in his sixties - I am seventy-two and traveled all of Texas giving instruction in election law in 2006 and still advise the party and counties in election law. Paraphasing Reagan, “I won’t hold your young age against you.”
One of the reasons I came to SC was to be closer to true conservatives.
McCain?
Huckabee?
C’mon. My wife and I went out for Thompson today. This is VERY disappointing.
Someone told me that — I myself am completely ignorant about the workings of the convention!
I’m guessing they are going to be calling it for McCain pretty soon....
...said the person who just suggested Fred could win the nomination in a brokered convention. LOL!
Total lack of class.
