This blurb about Bill Clinton's Comments from Thursday night's Nevada rally is quickly making the rounds on the leftist websites.
Bill is being quoted by a couple of blogs and MyDD:
"He also said that he claimed he was in his hotel in Vegas last night, and a bunch of members of the Culinary Worker's union came up to him and said that they weren't going to listen to their union and they would caucus for Hillary. Which is fine.
Then, he claimed, a shift supervisor or someone in a position of authority came up and said, "If you do that I'm going to change your schedule so you can't be there to caucus tomorrow."
It's a pretty amazing allegation (a union boss is going to threaten and intimidate the voting rights of workers in front of a former President?)"
Then, a couple of hours LATER, this blurb pops up:
"...as we were leaving, we spied Obama campaign manager David Axelrod and asked him about Bill Clinton's very odd comment that he personally saw Culinary Union bosses threatening to stop workers from voting for Hillary.
Axelrod lost it. He said, "I don't believe it, and if Bill Clinton actually saw that, he can take it to the NLRB. This is the rankest form of voter intimidation I've ever seen." And with that, he stormed off."
This from MyDD:
"We're getting kicked out, but I just wanted to relate a little run-in we had with David Axelrod. Dave Dayen, who I'm hanging with as we go from event to event here today, went up to Axelrod and told him about Bill Clinton's comments at the townhall earlier about the hotel supervisor threatening workers if they voted for Hillary, and asked him for a comment.
Axelrod became visibly angry and said "I don't believe it for a second and if he thinks that happened, he should take it to the NLRB. I think he's engaging in the rankest form of voter intimidation." He then walked away."
It's time SOMEONE in the Mainstream Media made Bill put-up-or-shut-up...
If it happened, it's a crime. Let Bill swear out an affidavit for the US Attorney, under penalty of perjury.

That word does not apply to Democrats.
Why were they being “kicked out”?
Isn’t Bill Clinton a crime himself?
now I know where algore learned his thug/pimp tactics.
Interesting, considering the caller I heard on a Boston radio talk show the night of the NH primary.
The caller, a union member, bragged that Obama lost NH because of the unions. Obama did not use union stagehands, so the unions told their members to vote for Hillary.
“but isn’t WITNESSING a crime and not reporting it, A CRIME ITSELF?”
I’m not a lawyer, but I don’t believe witnessing a crime and not reporting it is a crime. It’s your civic duty perhaps, but not a crime.
Also, point to the federal statute that makes it a crime for an individual to intimidate a voter. Voting is a civil right, and violations of civil rights are usually civil violations, not criminal
“What he witnessed was not only a violation of the National Labor Relations Act, if it happened at all, but was almost certainly a crime.
So, if he witnessed it, why isn’t he reporting it to the proper authorities, rather than using it as a campaign device?
Probably because he’d be put under oath, and he knows from sad experience what the consequences of lying under oath can be. Lying when NOT under oath, though, he apparently thinks is just part of the game.
It’s pretty clear what’s going on here: The Clinton campaign in general, and Bill Clinton in particular, are trying to turn non-members of the Culinary Workers Union against the Obama campaign, and they’re also trying to explain away in advance any possible loss.
It’s hardly the first time the Clintons have engaged in disgusting behavior in the pursuit of their own power.”
(This response stolen from DailyKos!)
I take it that Mark Furman, if I recall the name correctly—the Rodney King cop, is an exception? Again, iirc, he was put behind bars for violating RK’s rights.
“What he witnessed was not only a violation of the National Labor Relations Act, if it happened at all, but was almost certainly a crime.”
Labor unions have ALWAYS pressured union members to vote one way or another. Thats what they do.
When has one ever been prosecuted: Never...
I’m not sure exactly what Furman was prosecuted for...
He was prosecuted in Federal court for violations of RKs civil rights. This was after being acquited in local court—a clear case of double jeopardy it seems.
Bill Clinton son some black churches burning that night in Vegas, too...
Mark Furman is the OJ Simpson cop who was accused of using racial epitaphs.
Bill Clinton saw some black churches burning that night in Vegas, too...
(correcting the typo above)
Mark Fuhrman was the cop who found O.J.’s bloody glove at the mansion and was caught lying about using the “N” word years earlier.
You know how these "reported events can be?"
And this caucus is going to be problematic. Nevada primaried for the longest time and then all of a sudden in 2006 it gets switched to a caucus.
“You more legal types can correct me, but isn’t WITNESSING a crime and not reporting it, A CRIME ITSELF?”
Not necessarily.
Bill Clinton is a pathological liar. He has been lying his entire life. I think his mother actually encouraged his lying by being such an enabler.
Mark Furman was the O.J. detective, not the Rodney King cop.
