Grrr...
(PING)
So says Eleanor Roosevelt's UN Declaration of Human Rights. The document does not have a fiscal note attached.
He’s going to jack up taxes to pay for that.
greedy doctors ??????????????
what if all the doctors took their football and went home.
Lost me on the very first “principle.” Food and shelter are not basic human RIGHTS. Neither is medical care.
Suppose, hypothetically, there were no physicians, nurses, etc. (or that, more realistically, the number OF them were about 10% of what reasonable care required for a given population). Then what? Would The Government *conscript* people into serving as doctors, at a slave wage? We may be headed in that direction in a few decades.
Which can only be had by the free market system.
The present mess is the direct result of direct government intervention starting in 1964, and that is when health car became disconnected from free market principles and began spiraling out of control.
The solution is less government or no government intervention, not more.
>Health care is a basic human right. - No, it is not.
>Universal health care is doable this year and it won’t break the bank. No, it isn’t and yes, it will.
>Physicians are too greedy and need to give a little.
Sure fire plan for no doctors except the lowest common denominator
>A so-called single-payer system is out of the question.
Any government plan is out of the question.
Richardson is little more then a Clinton lap dog.
A real big thinker there ya know.
No it is not. Health care is about choices. Choices that will be restricted or taken away by government mandated health care.
* Universal health care is doable this year and it won't break the bank.
Of course it will break your bank. It has everywhere else it is tried.
* Physicians are too greedy and need to give a little.
Wage and price controls destroy the market place and quality. KMart health care is quackery.
* A so-called single-payer system is out of the question.
Which means that I have to grease the palms of my buddies in large health care coporations to ram this through.
I watched my physician sister eat ramen noodles for about 10 years to finally have an opportunity to make a decent living.
I’m sick and tired of these panderers demonizing people who work really hard to make something of themselves and whose dedication to excellence make all of our lives better.
People who simply flap their gums for a living are the greedy ones.
Health care is a basic human right.
And which amendment to our Constitution might this be, hhhhmmmm????
No it's not. It's a service offered for sale.
Tell him to take his health problem to "non-greedy" Hillary Clinton as she is so good at diagnosing medical problems.
Gee...I hope Gov. Richardson, rotund as he is, doesn’t have a heart attack and have to call one of those greedy doctors he has insulted with this broadside. That doctor may tell him that he has made too much money for this month and will see him next month.
“human right for every citizen”
I’ve got money that says his plan includes illegals. Any takers??
Every one of his “talking points” capitalizes on the ignorance of the average American. The “basic human right” BS appeals to their emotions because the Gov sounds like he cares. The “won’t break the bank” statement works because most of these fools believe the banks have endless funds. The “Doctors are greedy” bologna appeals to them because “all Dr.s play golf and drive BMW’s”. “They can afford to charge less!” Richardson knows exactly what he’s doing AND he’s getting ready to accept an offer to be Hillary’s VP. He spews the same dog vomit that the Hildabeast spews.
The sound you hear is the sound of the door closing as the last doctor closes the door behind him while fleeing the state. In England, Indian and Paki doctors are returning to their native countries in droves because they realize the socialized medicine is broken. The same thing will happen in NM. People vote with their feet, and doctors will move out of state rather than be overworked, underpaid, and un-appreciated.
Looking forward to a new set of doctors at the Texas Medical Center.
I would except I am still trying to figure out the cost-benefit of Richardson’ private little railroad boondoggle. Does that one get counted under greed or just Gubanatorial stupidity?
(* Health care is a basic human right.)
I swear these people would not know what a right is if it jumped up and slapped them on the fact... YOU CANT GIVE ME A RIGHT YOU TOOLS! A right is something I have so if by ‘health care being a right’ you mean the government should not interfere in my own pursuit of it then yes its a right.
This is the most scary argument. If states like CA and MA want to provide health care more power to them, at the state level its not nearly as awful as at the federal level. But make no mistake you dont give me rights you can leave me alone or take them away thats all the govt can do.
