Mitt Roney: You're no Gentleman
Posted on 01/15/2008 6:24:01 PM PST by MrArbitrage123
There is an unwritten rule in politics, especially WITHIN the Republican Party that the candidates don't come out and speak over one another.
I am not a McCain supporter as I see him as just as liberal as Giuliani. However, I was looking forward to HEARING John McCain make his concession speech.
About 90 SECONDS after McCain came out to speak, Romney comes out to interrupt McCain's speech obviously to quell any positive that might come out of McCain's concession.
This guy is way to slimey.

I’m not a Romney lover, but I’m unsure what the precedents are for this.
In the final election, you can afford to be polite to a defeated rival because he’s lost and it’s all over. But in a primary election, it’s on to the next state.
So, is this a dirty trick or isn’t it? I don’t really know. In any case, the campaign war isn’t over until your rival has been completely defeated and withdraws.

I think in this case Romney is demonstrating the kind of knife fighting necessary to beat Hillary’s gutter tactics. I want to see a candidate who can deal with the Democrat hit machine. Nice move Romney. I want to see the good guys being politically aggressive and win for a change. I may vote for you yet.

Huh? I heard McCain had left the state before the results were known. How could Romney interrupt him?
