I definitely agree with you that Romney would clean the Beast’s clock in a debate. I’d love to get a look at Romney’s short list for running mates. His biggest liability, imo, will be his faith, which the DNC/Soros crowd will get really nasty about. I think he needs a strong conservative Christian (as opposed to a Christian socialist, such as Chucklebee) as a running mate to take some of the sting out of that attack.

have dissed Hunter a war vet ...

I'm a big Romney supporter, and I have supported Duncan from the get-go with money, and verbally.

I wish Duncan's campaign had taken off. He deserves it.

But you can't fight the fact that the vast majority of Republican base didn't see him as a great GOP candidate for US President.

That doesn't mean I nor others don't have the utmost respect and admiration for him.

There is no one I would rather have next to me in a foxhole in Afghanistan than Duncan Hunter.

It’s Romney or/and Fred for me. Rudy as AG or VP (he won’t take crap like Cheney). McCain and the Huckster MUST NOT WIN.

“the question I still have is can a Mormon win the Presidency?”

I sure hope so. Not so much for Romney but for the Country. We really HAVE to move beyond the identity crap.

I think Fred and Mitt supporters are very compatible.

I’ve said this many times here. Romney needs Fred supporters to win. Ain’t no doubt about it.

MI has 15 CDs and each gets 1 delegate. If a candidate wins the popular vote in any CD, they get the 1 delegate for that CD, and so on until all 15 CD delegates are given out.

The other 15 are given out based on % of the popular vote statewide, with a 15% floor to begin picking up delegates (including bonuses for being in 1st place in statewide popular vote).

A lot can happen between now and November. You shouldn’t be so pessimistic.

I’d like to see Romney/Bolton. Romney can run the country while Bolton “reinvents government” by systematically dismantling 40 years of liberal infrastructure, beginning with the State Department and CIA.

NY Times says that some delegates are awarded Winner-take-all by Cong. District, but other delegates are awarded proportionally based on the state vote: http://politics.nytimes.com/election-guide/2008/results/states/MI.html

Maybe the inconsistency is b/c the RNC is sanctioning MI for holding its primary too early and that has lead to uncertainty in the various sources.
