this is no laughing matter. This is becoming a world wide ban on free speech. Even church leaders are now being prevented from pointing out that the Bible condemns homosexuality - talk about separation of church and state.

We let this continue and we will all loose our individual rights...This is a war on a par with the WOT...

But I fear we will not wake up in time

I enjoyed Steyn's America Alone; it is an extension of Melanie Phillips' Londonistan and Bruce Bawer's While Europe Slept. All three--and Walid Phares' Future Jihad--indicate intimidation is a standard tool of islamic jihad.

Jihadists are using Orwellian thought crime law coupled with multiculturalism victimology to cry race at every exposure of the true jihadist agenda.

They are hosers of the first sort.

The way to combat this is to use the same method against Muslims as was used against polygamous Mormons: that their religion is unconstitutional.

A major pillar of Islam if the right to kill.

Definitely a no-no in the United States. Honor killings, apostate killings, dhimmi killings - all violate our Constitution.

And we make all these Islamic groups address this issue. If they don’t want to change, then we declare them illegal and run their buts out of the U.S.A.

Of course we can do it! We made the Mormon establishment change, we can make Muslims here change.

I sure hope it causes problems. Crisis management! That is the only way to solve problems at times.

IslamoFascist terrorist groups are using our own laws to destroy us. In the case of Canada, with its much weaker civil liberties than the US, this is much easier.

I’ve read Steyn’s excellent book.

Seems like he may have understated the threat, though, given what’s happened to him.

Western civilization is committing suicide.

There are laws. That's the problem.

It is a simple fact that we Americans trust government less than just about anyone else on Earth. Our Constitution restricts government in ways that few others do. the French proclaim, "Liberté, Egalité! Fraternité!" Canadians want "peace, order ad good government." Americans want "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." We kneel to different trinities. That's democratic.

There is always a tricky balance between democracy and liberty. Every country will reach its own balance between those forces, and even our closest allies -- and Canada certainly makes the short list -- won't use the same equation we do.

The Muslims are trying to do the exact same thing here in the U.S. through the legal system, i.e. link hate crime legislation to criticism of Islam. Fortunately, the U.S. has a Bill of Rights, whereas the Canadians don’t.

The time has come to rid ourselves of the PC leftists who occupy these illegal kangaroo courts. Notice how all these Marxist tribunals are located in leftist strongholds where these totalitarians are pampered and encouraged by the brainwashed sheep.

So the solution is to move these Marxist tribunals to areas hostile to leftism where members of the court will be subjected to community ostracism - can’t buy food, gas, clothing. No service at any business. No membership at clubs and golf courses.

Where’s the outrage expressed by Susan Sarandon et al over the “chilling effect” this will have on free speech?

*crickets*

From the text.

In 2006,after Elmasry publicly accused a spokesman for the Muslim Canadian Congress of being anti-Islamic,the spokesman reportedly resigned amidst fears for his personal safety

I took a look at the website for the Muslim Canadian Congress. I have bookmarked it. Seems to be encouraging in the belief that there are cooler heads out there. The Human Rights Commissions have far too much power. That power is partly that which is vested in public fear.

Not good for Canada. Events will show whether they after all, are a paper tiger- if challenged.

A world without Islam is a GOOD world! A VERY GOOD world!
Canada is sowing the seeds of it’s own destruction! Frankly, good riddance, eh!
