DALLAS Two city police officers accused of holding country music singer Steve Holy and a friend at gunpoint during a home game of foosball have been fired...
On the 911 recording, the operator sounded frustrated by an inability to get information from Holy, who told her several times that he's a recording artist.
When she tried to ask Holy if the two officers left together, he answered: "He put a gun to our heads."
"OK, you told me that at least five or six times," she said. "I have that. I understand that."

If someone had me lay face down on the floor, I’d be thinking, “It’s over!”
I would think the officers were confronted and asked what their story was. Evidently it wasn’t credible. And they are now unemployed or worse.
It would be interesting to hear how they could justify this.
I guess these cops take their foosball seriously.
Yep this may be an intersting thread.
I bet there’s more to this story than meets the eye.
I read about this when it first happened and am glad to see this recent information; however, I am surprised to see the two cops are only being charged with a misdemeanor. From what I read earlier, they committed a felony or more.
One law for the masters, another law for the serfs.
Oh we’re all equal....some of us are just a little more equal...
“I would think the officers were confronted and asked what their story was. Evidently it wasnt credible. And they are now unemployed or worse.”
Unemployed is a first step. Criminal charges should be filed next.
Fired?
They should be in jail.
It would be interesting to hear how they could justify this."
Nah, they both probably had new cop jobs in a town one or two over by the next day. No problemo. How do they justify it??? Come on. They have a tough job, all should be forgotten.
“I am surprised to see the two cops are only being charged with a misdemeanor. From what I read earlier, they committed a felony or more.”
You gotta be kidding! A misdemeanor for assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful restraint.
And, this is one more reason why only cops shouldn’t have guns, and an even greater reason why cops shouldn’t be equipped with SWAT teams and paramilitary gear.
Foosball eh? Sounds kinda gay to me.
I agree.
Well I’d like to hear more, but you’re echoing my thoughts at this point.
I hear the sarcasm, but it doesn’t look like they’re going to get off all that easy here. We’ll see.
Foosball is a blast. I used to be quite good.

The Dallas Police Department is asking the district attorney’s office to prosecute two officers accused of holding Dallas country music singer Steve Holy and a friend at gunpoint in a Dec. 27 incident...
...An attorney representing Mr. Holy has said that the singer had taken time off from his tour for the holidays on Dec. 27 when he and a friend went to a Greenville Avenue bar not far from his house. At the bar, Mr. Holy saw an off-duty Dallas officer he knew, and that officer introduced him to two other off-duty officers, now identified as Officers Anderson and Loughridge.
...Officer Anderson began climbing the stairs, yelling at Mr. Holy’s wife. As his wife stood at the top of the stairs, Mr. Holy tried to get up, but Officer Anderson yelled at him to “ ‘get the [expletive] down’ and pointed his gun at him again,” the records state.
...He came back down the staircase “with the gun no longer in his hand and stated to the Complainant [that] he would kill him if he said anything about the incident.” He also told Mr. Holy to have his wife call 911 back and say they didn’t need to send anybody. The two off-duty officers then left.
