Ex-Butler: Diana's Mom Called Her 'Whore' for Dating Muslim Men
LONDON — Princess Diana's former butler testified Monday that the princess' mother had called her a "whore" and criticized her for her associations with Muslim men.
At a coroner's inquest into Diana's death, Paul Burrell testified that Diana's mother, the late Frances Shand-Kydd, had destroyed much of Diana's private papers. Shand-Kydd had said she destroyed about 100 documents, but Burrell said he carried away half a dozen trash bags filled with shredded paper.
He said he didn't dare challenge the mother. "Mrs. Shand-Kydd was quite formidable ... and she did what she thought best."
Burrell said Diana had invited him to listen to a telephone conversation with her mother, who upbraided her daughter in June 1997 for romances with Muslims. That was before her romance with Fayed.
Burrell said he heard the mother say that Diana was "a whore and that she was (expletive deleted) around with Muslim men."
"She said some very nasty things," Burrell said.
Burrell also said there might be a secret about the late princess in a journal he kept but was unwilling to disclose. He later said there was no journal, he never kept one.
He was also reluctant to say which member of the royal family told Diana she should beware of surveillance, but he did write the name and passed the note to the coroner, Lord Justice Scott Baker. Baker looked at it, and said it had no relevance to the proceeding.
In an increasingly surreal day, Baker said the surveillance warning did not come from Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip or Sarah, Duchess of York. Burrell's note was given to a court official for safekeeping, and not disclosed.

They are both easy to lay but expensive, difficult and dangerous to get rid of.
I would not call someone who wore dresses that cost more than most folks make a year, only once, poor.
My sentiment exactly ... my wife, on the other hand, always comes down firmly on Diana's side. Diana was a highly promiscuous trollop ... not deserving in any way the type of adulation showered on her after her untimely death.
Then it would appear she was eminently qualified to make the whore call...as in it takes one to know one.
I had two young Brits staying with me, one was a socialist and the other was a monarchist, when Diana and Charles were married.
The monarchist was glued to the television during the whole event and the socialist mocked him the whole time.
It is time to let this lady rest in peace..She seemed to have only one true friend in the world and I think that was her Butler..She was a great mother and she loved people..I admired her so very much..with what she went through with that disfuncionel husband she deserves a medal..His jackass looking whore of a girlfriend has now got what she wanted Dianna out of the way..I really think the reason Prince Charles was the way he was toward Dianna is he was jealous of her,people loved her and not him..I for one will always wonder if her death was and accident or murder..but we will never know since the politicians are exactly the same there as here..Cover ups all the way around.. Rest in Peace Dianna you deserve it...

Another thing that bothers me is to see so many people calling her a whore and a tart..When you can walk a mile in her shoes then I will listen..I still think she was a lady.More so than lots of the idols people worship here and in other countries..
Mom was ahead of her time.

Maybe Camilla reminds Charles of his dear old mum.
