Dozens of gravestones at a Jewish cemetery near Norridge were desecrated with anti-Semitic graffiti in an attack that Cook County authorities are calling a hate crime.
The vandalism caused an estimated $100,000 damage to 57 tombstones scarred with spray-painted swastikas, other symbols and slurs that included "Aryan Power" and "white power."
"To see the physical damage and the disrespect for people who are dead, it's so sad," said Phil Ferkel, executive director of Westlawn Cemetery.
Several vandals -- described as "cowards who ply hate" by Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart -- apparently invaded the cemetery last weekend.
"What they did here was absolutely despicable," said Dart. "The desecration of graves has a level in the circles of hell that goes to the very bottom."

“Aryan Power”, “White Power” ...I didn’t realize that Ron Paul had supporters in the Chicago area...
probably muzzies....divide and conquer
More likely to be loser teenagers who hang out in cemeteries.
Hope they get caught and punished.
No doubt. Disgusting.
They believe Blitzer made Paul grovel when confronted with the ten years of racist news letters.
Some of Paul’s backers became frustrated.
They are much to weak the challenge the living, so they kick the dead.

People that do these things are just plain common. Low, common gutter trash.
Look at the picture ... pathetic and juvenile. Alcohol, stupidity, and lousy parenting are a disastrous combination.
You’ve got that right!
I don't like it, but for some reason this kinda reminds me of the Tawana Brawley case. I just don't see skinheads/whatever spraying "Aryan Power" or "white power". They can't spell or write that well. Plus their use of invective is far less sterotyped, and much more crude. It's time for the smell test.
Has there been any reporting of the identity or motivation in that case, I’ve only seen them identified as juviniles.
You may not like Ron Paul’s politics, but where’s your evidence to support that he has any connection to the neo-Nazis that undoubredly committed this crime?
I'm certain that you've been paying attention.
From his writings in the 1990's to the strident financial and moral support from Don Black and his Brownshirts, to the numerous chapters of the KKK, to David Duke, to his Congressional votes. Not to mention his photographs with Don Black, Don Black and his son, etc.
Of course, his supporters have a breakdown when anyone points this out and try extremely hard to excuse his behavior (writings & his congressional votes) and to excuse his support from Neo-Nazis & white Supremacists, to no avail. Typically their defense of Run Paul consists of vilifying the person presenting the evidence and they trot out as "evidence" that Paul never really wrote the newsletters even though they were published under his name for months if not years.
His pronouncements on the support that he is receiving from these hate groups and avowed Jew-haters, have been insipid, to say the least. And those from his campaign have been laughable at best.
The simple fact is that when you lie with dogs, you get fleas. This money hungry excuse for an American is quite prepared to take donations and support from the most vile in our society but refuses to take responsibility for doing so.
The fact is that Paul is supported by many organizations that embrace Jew-hatred as a matter of policy. He is embraced by individuals who espouse the views of those organizations.
So, yes, there is evidence to support my assertion, evidence that his cult-like followers are blinded to. Perhaps because they share the same sentiments. Like I said, you lie with dogs ...
Sorry of you take offense to the statement but, frankly, I really don't give a rip.
Racism is one of the last things one might be able to accuse Ron Paul of being. Libertarian, yes, racism, no.
There are also lots of weirdos who support every other candidate out there. It’s a free country and they vote for whom they choose.
It hasn’t gone unnoticed that most candidates lack any ability to debate Ron Paul on the merits of his positions, so instead they attempt to reduce their politic to calling him weird for actually believing in the Constitution and voting his convictions, and not selling out to particular lobbyists who offer funds for the campaigns of anybody who will vote their interest.
I may not vote for Ron Paul, but I know no other candidate who has consistently for about 30 years voted his sincere beliefs and stated them plainly, and in strict compliance with the intent of our formally described Constitutional power structure. That is something I cannot say of any other politician I’ve seen in American politics over the past 20 years.
BTW, he doesn’t support the views of the KKK or other racist organizations, but he does support their Constitutional rights to form and express their beliefs, even though he disagrees with them in particular.
There are plenty of arguments against his positions without resorting to false accusations and false labels.
With all due respect, and your sanctimony notwithstanding, I don't believe you and I don't believe him.
The "believing in the Constitution" schtick, is the catch-all for his forgiveness by his fawning cultists.
You'll excuse me, if I don't partake.
